When I saw some of the comments, Cam came to mind. How did the rest of his season go? I remember the LSU debacle, and his start before LSU was a disaster, then I think he skipped a start.

When he dominated the Cape last year I thought he was going to take the next step and earn a weekend rotation spot.

Will be an interesting comparison. But yeah, if whoever the OM pitching coach is turns Rizy into Rick Vaughn, I’ll be pissed too.

Bigger issue here is the identical stat line year over year from Rizy. We got isolated from it in 2025. One of many pitchers to not make a jump after last year, and that's my biggest concern heading into next season.
I believe the hitting will always be there, but there was an alarming lack of development by the entire pitching staff over the last 12 months. We'll see how Yeskie and Co. respond

To be fair,...he will have an opportunity to pitch as a weekend starter. Elliot is out of eligibility so a spot opens up. However, he will have to win it. Good luck.

He would have to have a miraculous turnaround control wise to ever be considered a starter in the SEC
OU has tried it unsuccessfully mostly for 2 years now with Cam Johnson. Cam passed up a 7 figure signing bonus from high school to come to college and MLB.com has him going #166 overall right now which is a just over $400k bonus

What makes you think they didn't try? Maybe it's not LSU but Rizy himself.
