To be fair,...he will have an opportunity to pitch as a weekend starter. Elliot is out of eligibility so a spot opens up. However, he will have to win it. Good luck.
Their entire weekend rotation is gone barring Townsend/Rabe dropping dramatically in the draft. I think he will have a shot. (not a good one, but one nevertheless)

He is not good. All hype but didn't do anything to help LSU.

His mechanics are absolutely awful
What specifically do you see in his mechanics that make them ‘awful’? Just curious

Watch his arse be All SEC, All NCAA, & become the #1 draft prospect

So more of the same. Thanks for replying.

Cool. I hope he pitches against LSU next year. We could use the free passes….

The one time I watched him pitch, he looked very uncomfortable; fidgeting with his belt, stuff like that, between every pitch. Just zero rhythm or routine. And the fidgeting wasn't the same each time, it was something different.
Big counterpoint would be how Skenes would come up, do the same thing each time, and move quick to the pitch.
If someone can slow Rizy's brain down to where he isn't all twitchy, and gets him smoothly into his motion in a repetitive manner, I think he can do well

There is a reason why very few guys his height have been successful at the highest levels. Very hard to build repeatable mechanics with limbs that long.

Farewell to Rizzz. I believe you flew in to see his best outing on the season Jack. Wish the kid the best in his baseball future except when he faces LSU of course. How he regressed from leading the team in appearances on a championship team to this year's subpar results was very disappointing. Hope Rizy makes the most of his Oxford stay.
Kid comes from an outstanding home and has a terrific family. Have met them at a few games and his folks are very nice. In fact, season before last in Austin, an unruly Texass fan made my 2 year old granddaughter cry at her very first LSU baseball game and sitting next to me, Mavrick's Dad was ready to go to war with me before the fan was escorted out to prevent a bleacher brawl.

Did he leave on his own accord or was he encouraged to move on?

Mavrick Rizy for Lane Kiffin? Sounds like a pretty good trade to me.
