The man understands his X's and O's (well maybe not the O) even if his personality grates on people.

IMO, he saw what he had to work with, put an offense in place that was our best attempt to beat Bama, and put building blocks in place for the future.

The fact that Ed could not appreciate this is a reflection on Orgeron, not Canada.

I'll give you that but Canada hasn't stayed anywhere very long. I think he has a problem as well.

I don't think he was bad either, I think he wasn't truly allowed to implement all the pieces and do what needed to be done to run his offense. Its apparent now that O wanted most stuff run exactly through him. It was a doomed marriage, Canada was hired because he was told he had full control of the offense and that was a lie

What would be an LSU ending is if Canada is hired by Bama and puts up 40 + points on LSU next season

I respect what he did. It baffles me that CEO hired him if he was expecting him to be a yes man and run a pro style offense. What a waste. Should have just promoted Ensminger last year.

Most big scheme guys what to roll around with their own staffs. That way they only have to teach the players and not the coaches too. LSU doesn’t do that because they value recruiting too much. Until that changes.....

Thats coach O

If you don't kiss the ground he walks on you aren't on his good side

What is happening now is exactly how his Ole Miss adventure went

Ok, would you say the same thing if SE sees what he has to work with and puts an offense in place that is our best attempt (with RB and QB situation) to beat Bama but he doesn't?

Most assistants move around a lot. Particularly ones who are trying to move up to HC positions like he is.

Doeren was the only one besides O who forced him to leave, and he had brought Canada to NC State after winning a MAC title at NIU together.

He didn't suck, but he certainly didn't live up to the hype

O had to deliver on his promise to go after the top assistants in the country. Why Canada was hired. he probably wanted to hire his baw, Ensminger but he knew he would be perceived as a bull shite snake oil salesmen out of the shoot.

Maybe but O hired him. Why hire him in the first place if O was simply going to come right back to Ensminger and more importantly, not search for actual OCs? Just felt like giving $3M to Canada?

I don't think he sucked.

But at the end of the day he was rather pedestrian.

Yeah I think he had to go, but we should have replaced him with a real OC.

This is where I have my problem as well. Nothing personal toward Ensminger at all, I don't think it's fair for O to do this like he did it. He's basically making Ensminger out to be the fall guy.

He was great between the 20s. How about we give e a shot before we light ourselves on fire in the town square.
