There will never be a Manning play in Death Valley unless it's on the opponent's sideline.

Holstein knew he would never play over Howard because he ain't near as good as Howard.

It ain't rocket surgery and it ain't the end of the world/LA recruiting.

Our qb room is crowded. Its really hard to get good qbs to come in and sit for 2 years. One of those qbs was never coming here to begin with.

Grandpa Holstein was Roll Tide.

I respect that.

Don’t like it.

But respect it.

Holstein can thread needle too.

Those schools have more NIL. They also don’t have LSU QfB room with 2 young top QB.

Manning was never coming to LSU so it can’t be a failure.

Haven’t followed the Holstein situation but I’m going to assume it wasn’t a failure as well. Things happen and we’re not exactly hurting for QBs anymore (Thank God).

If you are a true LSU fan you don't go to Bama. If my son was a good enough player to go anywhere he wanted to, it damn sure wouldn't be Bama.
this is the dumbest post I've read on this board in a long, long time.

You go where is best for you. That applies to football, education, employment, etc.

Blind loyalty to one school's football team shouldn't foreclose other, potentially better options.

You're a blind homer.

At least we still have Caleb Holstein at La Tech. Most here probably don't realize Walker sat 2 years behind him in HS. He's a good kid and very intelligent; I hope he eventually winds up being a starter for them.

s this a failure on the part of LSU? Two top ranked QB talents leave. I know all about Howard, but Arch went to Texas where Ewers was present and Holstein went to Bama where Milroe was present. So, what say tRant? Are we simply lacking NIL money?

An extra $50k isn't going to do anything if they aren't going to be able to play. LSU isn't going to get the #1 QB in the state every year. It's never happened and never will.

Holstein and Rashada we got out bidded or wasn't willing to pay the money.

Hopefully we sign a top QB. If not Brennan is gone next year, Daniels more than likely is.
If Nuss doesn't leave that will leave us with 2 scholarship QB on the roster.
If Nuss leaves it will leave us QB on roster.

Holstein didn't want to sit behind Howard again.

It's been discussed numerous times.

Recently it was discussed how out of touch this take is/was. True, Holstein changed schools rather than sit behind Howard at STM in high school. His reward for that was to become an elite level recruit instead of a budding hopeful starter his Sr yr.

However, with regard to college Holstein has to know he has to compete with the best in the country if he goes to any elite program. So the narritive that he does not want to sit behind Howard is pretty much a BS assumption made by the rantards on here. He is going to have to battle some other top dog wherever he goes.

All these top QB's know each other. Ohio St made no attempt to keep Ewers and the majority of recruits from Texas peak in high school because of the advanced coaching/conditioning they receive. If Manning and Holstein are picking Texas and Bama, they feel they have a better chance of beating out the guys there than Howard.

All the anti LSU talk about these families is a bunch of crap, they would have happily sent their sons there if it was the best situations for them.

What about Williams? Louisiana can't compete with Texas money.

This is true. However, at LSU he is behind Walker Howard who is only one year ahead of him. At Bama, he will be coming in after Bryce Young is gone and the job is much more open.

This is not a big Holstein pander response but at this point it is an assumption that he is "behind" Walker at LSU in performance but yes he would be a yr behind in class.
