I hope Yeskie is a little less “nibbly” tomorrow. Get them in a hole and keep pounding the zone.

LSU doesn’t need their guys going deep in it counts because they go from 0-2 to 3-2 trying to get a swing and miss.

This is it right here. All these idiots in here hollering for Cowan is ridiculous. Let a starter start, bring Cowan in from the pen.

Cowan has by far the most starter experience of anyone left…

Eyanson. Yeskie said Anthony told him he was ready to go Tuesday.

I think it's going to be Shores, considering he barely threw any pitches. But if Jay decides that he thinks Shores handles it better mentally by coming out of the bullpen (which sometimes can be the case), then I'd expect it to be Noot.

Cowan will be needed at some point, but I'm not getting the sense that they're going to want to run him out there to start the game, the way he's been pitching.

I'm noticing that almost no one in this thread is even mentioning Shores as part of the pitching plan, at all, for tomorrow. I don't get that. He had a very short outing on Saturday, then two days off, and now he threw all of about 11 pitches, I believe, to get 4 outs in this game. Whether or not he starts, he is 100% available, and if we have the lead by the 7th inning, if he didn't start the game, he'll probably be called upon to bring it home. He's pitching with confidence right now. Can't say that about some of the others who we might use.

I mean the only real candidates are Noot and Cowan, and I think they go with Cowan, but Noot and Shores will be on standby. People acting like Shores is out, but depending on how the game is going he has at least a couple innings left in him.

I’ll go with Cowan.

Me too, assuming they like his recent bullpens. Someone has to step up today and preserve our aces for the championship. Unfortunately I will not be able to watch tonight.

You don't think about Anderson or Eyanson unless things get to Thursday,.

I would use Eyanson to put out a fire in the eighth or ninth. If he throws 30 pitches today, he can rest three days and throw our second championship game. No problem. And he’s had two days rest after throwing 44. Not good, but acceptable.

I still feel like they are going to go with Noot as the starter and bring Cowan in off the bench to try to bridge it to Shores to close it out.

There are only 3 guys not available for tonight's game.

Yeah, because kids that age have no sense. He threw 44 pitches on Monday, but he was ready to go on zero days rest? I would love it if Eyanson could give us an extended outing today. That would give him four days rest to win the championship on Monday. But that would mean one day rest after throwing 44 pitches. Some guys can do that. DVH would do it, but I don’t think CJJ would.

I’d throw Noot, hoping for 2-3, then you need your most reliable remaining option if he gets in trouble. That’s probably Shores, depending on how he responds to multiple days of light duty, then he can potentially give you length.

After that, and if it’s still in the middle innings, you have to try out your second tier of reliability: Rizy, Williams, or Cowan, and if we’ve got a tight lead in the eighth or ninth you can bring in Eyanson. Mayers and Primeax as situational wild cards.
