Bainbridge, Mims, Rogers & Smith (BMRS) is a small, highly regarded Birmingham, Alabama law firm founded in 1942. It has roughly eight attorneys and is primarily known for complex litigation.

The firm has a strong reputation as a “lawyer’s law firm,” meaning other attorneys and firms turn to it for difficult or specialized matters. BMRS has received recognition from Chambers and Partners, U.S. News “Best Law Firms,” and Martindale-Hubbell.

Its core work includes commercial and business litigation, class actions, banking and securities disputes, environmental law, construction, employment, insurance, products liability, shareholder/partnership disputes, and appellate work. It also handles some corporate, estate, arbitration, and mediation matters.

Bottom line: BMRS is a boutique Birmingham litigation firm with a long history and strong professional reputation, particularly for sophisticated commercial disputes.

Known attorneys (from directory listings): Frank M. Bainbridge, Bruce F. Rogers, Alfred F. Smith Jr., Sela Stroud Blanton, A. H. (Anton Henry) Gaede Jr., Rebecca Crawford Eubanks, Jennifer A. Hanson, Hunter Carmichael, and Charles Keith Hamilton.

Stankey’s overreach OUGHT to result in his resignation as SEC Commissioner with Saban being promoted as his replacement.

There has still been no public explanation as to why LSU is being treated disparately when compared to Alabama, Texas, Ole Miss, S Carolina & Kentucky.

ETA: I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that this entire thing was orchestrated with Sexton/Saban/Kiffin & LSU/Landry to foment change with Nick stepping in as the Commissioner of some sort of new body regulating college athletics or football.

If Vandy wasn't on LSU's side they would have told Bruce as an alum to not participate
