re: LSU’s Orgeron has more job security than many think

My constant dislike of having Les Miles as our HC will temporarily negate any negative feelings I have for the Red Bull head can crusher coach we now have.
O Negatives:
Miss St., Troy, Bowl game...This can no longer happen
Ed's 1st OC hire
Ed's possible reverting back to his Ole Miss ways
Lost a must have CB to Saban
O Positives:
Great staff and we may actually have a QB
Def & Off line depth
A real possibility of an offense

Let’s see how it plays out.
No one disagrees with this in theory, but "playing out" for a coach with a record of continuous improvement, of beating more capable teams, of not having public missteps, and actually having a history of excellence, growth and success, is different from "playing out" with a career losing head coach, with multiple public issues and perception problems, with a career of not really succeeding or even being worthy of the possibility of success, with someone who doesn't exude confidence and routinely says only what people want to hear, someone without actual results, and any positive results are actually better viewed as an opportune time to be "successful." And someone who's best skill is something he didn't perform as well at given his very next chance to succeed.
It's quite simple why the leash should be short, and playing out shouldn't be 3+ years.

More like this year or else.

I don’t understand this mindset. “Waiter, thank you for bringing me this rancid hamburger. It’s horrible, but my feelings for the over cooked steak that I made you take away negate any negative feelings that I may have about it”.

No way Tiger Ree is not some sort of Goebbels minister of propaganda type.
Not a jab at Orgeron but this guy is a shill.

Ed Daniels?
Not even sure why we need to talk about his job security right now, anyway. He’s the coach until he’s in hot water. 5-6 loses might put him there and Ed Daniels doesn’t know shite about the fury that would rain down.

try to keep up earl.
I try Lunatik, but it's sometimes hard to do with the goalposts being moved so often for this head coach and his staff.

being unbiased is now as bad, if not worse, than hating and rooting for Orgeron to fail.

Year 2 still hoping for that.

I'll make a realistic prediction since no one else seems to want to. Going to be a rollercoaster season that ends with LSU being 7-5. LSU starts 1-2 and then later loses 3 in a row to UGA, MSST, and Bama.

Great analogy.

O supporters continually dropping expectations while trying to pump him up. Sick of it.

Didn’t read 10 pages. But will remind the OP that in 2015 les had a top 5 team the first week of November.
By the last week he was coaching for his job. The only job security is winning.

Watch how he’s going to spin that. If he even responds.

If Burrow is as talented as the LSU coaches believe, the Tigers, despite an onerous schedule, are likely to exceed seven wins.
Well frick! That would be exceptional. If he wins seven games, a new contract is in order...

It’s always the same exact spin
“Who cares what he did at Ole Miss he’s 10-4 at LSU”

But his wins over the juggernauts of Ole Miss and Arkansas!
Pretends like Troy never happened

He does do that but what I was getting at was he asked for O's record in the SEC which Imber gave.
It'll be something like, "but what I meant was......"
