What's crazy about that game is that we threw the ball only 8 times for 100 yards. 100% completion percentage.
Ladies and gentlemen, the 2011 LSU Tigers!
Started the scoring that day with a defensive touchdown that by itself would have won the game, and then added another defensive touchdown later.
353 yards rushing, 100 yards passing, 3 turnovers forced (2 converted to TDs) - this is probably Les Miles' favorite game as an LSU coach.

Drove all the way down to the 1 and did it.. Les letting them know the only people that could stop us that day was us.
Wasn't it a naked bootleg by Mett that got down to the one? Had to be his long run while at LSU, LOL.

Yes the announcers blew the shite way out of proportion. I always viewed it as more of a lesson being taught to Mett than a frick you to Ole Miss.

way more of a "frick you" than scoring. love it
According to T-Bob, Les was pissed at Mett for pulling the handoff and running the ball to the goal line. So Mett's punishment was to kneel and not get a scoring drive.
What happened was LSU was trying to run the ball up the middle to milk the clock and end the game. Our QB Met instead runs an option which he was not supposed to do.
LSU coaches were upset about this so they proceeded to kneel the ball to show sportsmanship and in the process it made it look worse. “No good deeds go left unpunished”.

They should have just pulled Mett and put Lee in to hand the ball off. Just another awkward Miles moment.

No F that, it is a rival! Score again running right down their throat. F Ole Miss. If this situation was reversed they would run up the score also against LSU. F it put 59 on the scoreboard.

Yep.
But as I've said since 2011,

And then Miles shït the bed the following week against Arkansas. Luckily things still worked out in the end.
Edit: Wait, I’m thinking 2007. Nevermind.
