I can agree with that but there’s something to be said for having a top 10 program year in and year out.

1/60 isn’t excellence.

Make no mistake Coach Seemes built a great program that Pat inherited. Pat made it better. Shaver took over a number 1 program and in 60 tries has 1 championship on the women’s side. And that was in 2008.

Let that sink in...

#6 bitch boy:

Give us documented instances of the following people scoring at the national meet:

#67 in the 100
#44 in the 110 hurdles
#60 and #68 in the 200
#95 in the pole vault
#39 and #51 in the javelin

When you fail to do that, try telling us what kids Arkansas women and Texas tech men got through that they weren’t supposed to and won them the championships in 2019.

I have no idea why you’re posting this but let me take a shot. The more opportunities you have to score at the NCAAs gives you a better chance to win. Like what I posted. EVERY TRACK COACH WILL TELL YOU THAN INCLUDING SHAVER. 9 men didn’t get through abs Shaver would have loved for them all. But I guess you don’t agree with him or me. It is not what IS EXPECTED, IT IS WHAT IS UNEXPECTED just like I said.

But keep ducking the facts:

SHAVER IS 1/60 or a .0167 winning percentage at the NCAA championships as a HC at LSU. Deny that.

If you went to shaver and told him he sucks because his 95th ranked vaulter isn’t going to have a chance to score at the national meet he would almost assuredly laugh and hopefully punch your stupid arse in the face.

Because you said this stupid shite previously:

“It is the kids that are NOT expected to get through that win the titles for you.”

Why are you having such a hard time coning up with examples to support the above stupidity?

That’s a bunch of words to still avoid answering the questions bitch boy. Give examples to support your stupidity.

I’m assuming anyone defending tigers right now has either never paid even a seconds worth of attention to a track meet or is stupid beyond saving. Probably both.

Any coach banking on points at the national meet from the athletes LSU had in the regional meet that didn’t make it ranked where they were should be given their walking papers

I had a next door neighbor who was an Olympic runner (when I lived across the street from the Nike campus) and he looked fast just walking to his car. Watching him run while normal people were around him was something to behold. When I first met him, I asked him what he did for a living, while making small talk. He said, "I run for a living."

Watching Olympic caliber athletes compete is a thing of beauty.

When they are running a race and everyone is going approximately the same speed, it is deceptive. Seeing world class athletes running on the Nike campus on the same trail as "Fred from accounting" is something else.

There were 2 guys living together and they trained together with Salazar and the Bowerman team. One is the top 5k runner from UK and the other is the top 1500m guy from the US.

So this was recently You lived next to these guys? Wasn’t sure what your timeline was

I might have ran at a cross country meet with Scott once when he was at Tulsa. Clearly I would’ve been way way way behind him so I’m not sure but the timeline matches up

Would having Mondo pretty much cinch the natty?

It's pretty much clinched without him. He only competed in 1 event. Juvaughn Harrison and/or Terrance Laird getting injured is the only realistic path to losing it.

Who all didn’t qualify? I didn’t look. I’m assuming rayvon is one considering his sec showing.

It was 2019.

Marc is the guy I interacted with the most. Matthew wasn't around much - more demands on his time.

Rayvon is not one. Literally everyone projected to score even a single point qualified. Tyler Terry is the only one who even had a punchers chance at scoring a point who didn't qualify, and he didn't even run it, as his contribution to the 4x4 is more important.

Rayvon's SEC and regional performances were pretty meh tho. His current form is the only thing you can point to of LSU perhaps underperforming the lofty expectations from a month ago. But he is qualified.

So LSU is still the heavy favorite. I figured. Wasn’t sure what he was talking about

He was speaking utter nonsense. 48 guys go to each regional and only 12 qualify for nationals. So only 25%. Over half our guys qualified and all of the ones who had a realistic chance of scoring.

He's complaining that guys who were ranked 80th in the country didn't make final 24, when only 8 score. It has zero bearing on LSUs projection.

It would be the equivalent of a 5th year walk-on being granted an extra year of eligibility. It matters for the kid whether he gets to continue his NCAA career. But doesn't change anything for the team.
