Dude the call on the td was correct incomplete.

perhaps to avoid irrational anger maybe you should read the NCAA rule book.

Stupid. One of my friends is the ref from Lafayette. He's also AD at St Pius elementary. As solid of a guy as they come.....period!
I guarantee you, he'd stay home before he'd cheat at anything.

Correct, Daniel is a good guy. Most of those missed calls were for him to make.

24-3?

I'd say 24-7. Clemson earned the TD, but we handed them the FG on a very close call on a fumble within FG range.

So I guess we have to deal with the ACC refs next season in THE Death Valley...

I second this. Wonderful family. Father was an NFL ref for years and coached me in city league.

There were some bad calls, one being horrible - but let's pump the brakes on this cheating stuff.

Yes, the officiating was a little lip sided.

Those 2 IG no calls were pretty bad. There were also at least 3 block in the backs from their OLine.

Overall, was a shite ref job and it did look like Clemson coughed up some money to keep it close, but not enough.

Two huge missed holding calls setup that TD. Go re-watch the few plays before the TD. Blatant holds with no call!

The frick?

Outside of the touchdown pass that was missed, it was a pretty well called game.

Also, going for it before half wasn’t a bad call.

Dumbasses who don’t understand the rules spouting off. Look, the refs sucked arse, but that “pick play” was completely legal.

Can you explain why that play was within the rules?

Defender and offensive player were beyond the neutral zone. Is it just because the throw didn’t cross the line of scrimmage? That’s the only element that isn’t satisfied, but the rules don’t necessarily make that clear on a pick play.

Regardless, that’s a blind side block if not offensive pass interference. He is covering an eligible receiver beyond the neutral zone and gets taken out of the play.

Way too cute of a rule interpretation, and I really don’t see how him coming back near the line of scrimmage made any difference in the call. Both players were beyond that mark.

I don’t know him, but I knew most of the SEC officials in the 90’s and early 00’s. Almost all were stand-up guys who would never cheat/take payoffs.

For that reason, I absolutely believe your friend is a stand-up guy and probably everyone on his crew is as well. However, they made some horrendous calls in that game.

I’m not a conspiracy theorist who thinks every crew calling LSU games is dirty. They do all make bad calls, but it’s a hard job. That said, since Bobby Gaston left as the Director of Officiating, the SEC officiating has consistently gone downhill. I don’t know if it is a training issue or what.
