This is such a ridiculously idiotic idea that is literally just to appease our dumb governor. I’m no extreme animal rights person by any means but this is just dumb. Who wants a tiger that’s not Mike on the sideline? It’s lame and no one wants to push back to the governor because he’s got little man syndrome

It’s the DUMBEST shite I’ve ever heard of. We have a fricking tiger 30 yards away from the stadium and we have to bring in truck stop Larry. God damn it I thought this country made steps this week back to normal life. I guess I was freaking wrong.

The Illuminator says State Sen. Bill Wheat, R-Ponchatoula, who has been advocating for the return of a tiger at games, confirmed the plan.

However, when WDSU reached out to Wheat he could not confirm or deny the plan for a tiger to attend the game.

WDSU also reached out to Gov. Jeff Landry's office about the plan. The governor's office also could not confirm or deny the information.

Parading an endangered solitary wild animal around in a loud stressful environment just for our brief amusement isn't necessary.
What about human beings running into each other and beating the frick out of their brains and bodies simply for our amusement?

That necessary?

Did we ask Mike if he likes being in the habitat outside the stadium?

Animal abuse. frick you Jeff

I mean, Landry is a moron, but saying animal abuse is a little strong. I remember seeing the different Mikes in the cage on the field for many years. They never seemed to bothered by anything other than when they would put that stuffed animal or whatever in front of them to get them to roar.

Now, it's not necessary to have him on the field and Landry just likes to stir shite up, but still.

Yeah, I could see that being an issue. Most all animals are scared of fireworks.

Honestly just seems like some Gladiator type shite. We can go see a tiger at the zoo or Mike’s habitat any time. I don’t think they should be importing a sanctuary tiger in a cage for the game just for the frick of it. But I bet yall the fans, 10 beers deep, will enjoy it.

The public needs to be louder about our dislike of this idea. No one at LSU can really push back against Jeff Landry because the governor controls a lot of higher ed money in this state and if you cross him, he’s the type that’s vindictive. So, we the fans need to make it known it’s embarrassing and we don’t want to see it happen

Yeah, some of the fans are going to go crazy and cheer for a tiger that isn't even our mascot. Stupid. Then, Landry will deem it a success assuming it happens. LSU really needs to "just say no" to this dumbassery.

Do you think moving him 100 feet outside the stadium helps with the firework fear?

It’s still loud as shite where he is. People just “feel” better about it.

We save a tiger from a likely underfunded sanctuary, give him the best environment possible with the best medical care.

No need to put a solitary animal through this for absolutely no reason.

But ULL graduate Jeff has to pander to the mouth breathers in advance of his tax session that won’t do anything to help anyone.

He’s fighting for US, Mickey! Temu Ron DeSantis is fighting for US!
