That would be a good match up. Just like 1999

Meaningless and uninspiring game. The only benefit is additional practice time for the members of our team that opt to participate.

Too many trips to Houston. Nashville would have been better

We played a game in Nashville last month.

Its on LSU for even being in the running for 3 Texas Bowls in 5 years. Terrible.

They used to avoid teams going to the same bowl two years in a row but I figured they’d send LSU to Houston because that’s the only place LSU might sell some tickets.

just give us a month extra practice/scrimmage time and we are good.

Too much money tied up in sponsorships, revenue (for schools and cities hosting), travel etc to do that.

There’s a huge LSU fan community in northwest Houston.

Once again we find ourselves in the Toilet Bowl. Thank you Kelly and Nussmeier.

How pissed must Houston be

You couldn’t be farther from the truth.

I have friends on the Texas Bowl committee and they would love it if we played in their bowl every year. They get their largest crowds when we play in Houston.

We've played in the "Texas Bowl" 4 times in the last 10 years.

Let's hope this is the last time for the next 10 years.

This is not even a semi prestigious bowl to be proud of going to.

It's an embarrassment for a program with LSU's standards.

There's no doubt that the Texas Bowl would love to have the Tigers every year. The feeling is not mutual for LSU.

It's shameful how often we have played in this game the last decade.

Looking at Houston’s QB stats he doesn’t seem to be a great rusher.
He throws for around 200 yrds per game and rushes 54 yards per game.
Defense with Baker should handle them.

You mean the tens of Houston fans? They can't come close to filling their little stadium. We will have more fans in NRG than they will
