Contracts and payments to NIL are not public info. Fact is, we don’t know what the numbers are. At best you have a “slightly educated” guess. At worst you have some dumbass reporter artificially inflating numbers to create a headline….

Most of these reports are estimates based on adding together all the known amounts paid to the athletes. In many cases, the athletes report, and in other cases the donors report.

That’s a lot of money that could have been invested in New Orleans

The city has more human capital than any other southern city per capita.

All it needs is funds to work with

Thats what's wrong with democrats, they think people with money should give it away to those they put no effort into making money themselves

Another word for WILD arse GUESS….

I estimate that 90% of these figures are pulled out of thin air…
And now that I have made this estimate, others can say, “it’s been reported”.

Maybe tearing down century old statues and building “Hair Pics” wasn’t the best allocation of tax dollars???

NFL salary cap is $85 million. LSU NIL is $40 million. At some point in the next 5 years it will exceed $85 million and then NCAA football will become bigger that NFL

Only about half of what we spent this year while also having shite coaching to go along with that roster last year.

Lane needs to be a playoff contender with that payrol

if he can make it with ole miss he can make it with lsu...if qb play is average or above and we stay healthy we will be a contender. I think we know we will be great in the front 7 with depth . I think we know we have front line secondary talent thats somewhat proven. I think our pass rush from the d ends will be the game changer to take us from where we have been to where we want to go. we have two d ends that can win by themselves and get pressure without blitzing, thats what great defenses gave, and then elite defenses get pressure from interior d line also. I beleive we have guys on the inside that can do that if they are coached up correctly.

Pretty much every rumor on this board about the Kiffin saga last fall was semi-accurate, so the $40 million figure is probably in the ballpark. Kids talk. A lot.

Uh guys, I think he meant spend the money in New Orleans and the whole human capital thing, basically go to New Orleans and recruit all those black athletes and keep that area locked in to LSU. I don’t think he meant infrastructure or do good programs for the actual city.
