To answer you're question our top 2 defensive linemen did not play 1 injured the other ineligible.

Should be a much better front 7 this year than last year. But no one know for sure.

As well as LSU have recruited they didn’t have anyone behind them? Where was glen Logan?

I’ve followed lsu’s recruiting the last couple of cycles like the one where y’all got something like 5 4 star or higher dts in one class recently . At least one of them should have been ready to play.

You’re thinking of 2016 we got Lawrence, Alexander and Logan.

Logan played.

They had like 200 yards rushing as a teams it wasn’t a great performance but it also wasn’t some insane performance eitherz

Well 3 of them were ready to play

2 of them were injured.

You need to be 2 deep and we were about 1 and a third deep.

Damn I actually agree with most of this. Except that I think Auburn will be tough away and we will beat either Bama or Ga this year at home. It's funny bc the same reasons you state we'll be better than most of these teams is why I believe we are also. I think Miami is going to run into an extremly focused team again if Burrow can lead this offense. If he can from game number one, I think we will beat them pretty good. 27-17 type of game with them scoring at the end.

GA had some amazing talent mixed with veterans last year and that's not so much the case this year. We'll see if he can hold that together. LSU is as talented as most. We lack experienced depth in some areas but we have talent. We'll see who's who very soon. If Burrow can be as good as I think he can then we will have a great season this year. 9-3 and we will win the bowl and this year so 10-3. I think 10-2 is very possible though.

jgriffith what you AND JIMMY FREAKING JOHNSON say times a billion. LSU should NEVER, EVER, EVER win less than 10 games in a motherblanking year with a good staff in place. Should be like taking candy from a baby. As far as I know, we have the most players in the league, and that's been true for years.

We do this to ourselves every year and never learn from it. We have fans that hype up expectations every year regardless of what Vegas and the rest of the country's expectations are. It's why we are so miserable as a fan base.

Who do you consider our top two??

Gilmore and Lac were certainly at the top behind Rashard. Alexander has the potential to be better than them for sure but I wouldn’t put him above them in September of last year.

Missing Rashard hurt obviously. We should have been absolutely fine against a Sun Belt team without Alexander and Herron.

They would have helped in the rotation, but to pretend as though playing without them somehow justifies the complete physical domination we saw by MSU or Troy is pathetic.

Every qb on LSU's roster is unproven. Garbage mop up duty against powerhouses UNLV and Illinois, for example mean nothing. He better be the "real deal" , or else this team is in for a very long year. Narcisse and Breenan are not even close. Speaking of Miles, the idiots who react before thinking, have no clue that St Stanislaus plays against the Riverdale's and Grace King's of Hancock County,MS. Schools who dont have any top tier college players that are never recruited by major programs. No qb play in 2018, and LSU will go 6-6, directly to the Weedeater or Birmingham bowls. That will definitely be the execution of Alleva and then O. Book it

1. We were missing Lawrence, Alexander, Ferrell and herron vs MSU. (And obviously Fehoko and Shelvin weren’t available) We basically had 3 DL vs a very strong running team, and our offense wasn’t doing ya any favors.

2. Troy was overblown. They ran for like 200 yards which is a lot but not insane. The defense didn’t pretty good considering we turned the ball over 5 times. They scored 24 points in like 13 possession.

Snoop is solid. Dude doesn’t know wtf. I think state will be in the top half of the sec this year. Bama UGA State & AU is all potential losses imo. I think we win 2 of these if healthy. Burrow is the real deal and Our D ya chance to be special

I have the faith that LSU could go 12-0. Will they? Probably not but I believe they CAN win every game they are in. Sure LSU will be an underdog in some games but there are no games they are overwhelmed. The key is they have to find the way to take command late in the games and close them out.

Alexander started and played most of the first half. Ferrel wasn’t ejected until the second half. We also had Deondre Clark available and playing.

The LSU defense was on the field for 11 plays before MSUs first TD drive, which they followed up with two more scoring drives before half, and another four straight scoring drives out of halftime (FG, TD, FG, TD).

The DL depth issue has been overblown and any issues there were made worse because of a terrible game plan on offense.

The bottom line is we got fricking shite stomped by MISSISSIPPI STATE and so many people are here constantly making excuses instead of just saying yeah we weren’t ready to play and got embarrassed.

How those same posters would have reacted if that happened under the previous coach would be night and day and tells one everything they need to know about the worth and sincerity of their posts.

Y’all really need to quit sleeping on La Tech. I went there for four years, and if they have even an average year they can compete. They have more good years than bad. They just lose occasional games they shouldn’t, and they let good teams slip up on them at the end of games that they’ve played down to the wire on.

They have offense. Always do. They don’t have the depth of an sec school, but they do have enough talent for any given Saturday.
