LSU should give Skip an honor no Tiger has ever received…retire the #15 across all sports

With Skip’s passing, I think LSU should do something truly special and retire #15 across all sports.
From building LSU baseball into a national powerhouse to his time as AD, where he helped guide the entire athletic department through one of its greatest eras, few people have had a greater or more lasting impact on LSU athletics.
And it’s not unprecedented. West Virginia recently did it for Jerry West and #44, and UCLA did it for Jackie Robinson and the #42.
I know the timing isn’t ideal with the current Jayden Daniels/#5 situation, but if anyone associated with LSU has earned an honor like this, it’s Skip Bertman.
His impact went far beyond one sport.
Retire #15 across LSU Athletics.

He has a baseball field named after him, a statue built, a road named after him, and his jersey retired. Who else have we done as much for?
