Seen it happen to employees at a major oil company I do work for on numerous occasions. The smart ones set the money aside for when Chevron takes it back or deducts it from their next check. The doofuses spend it and get butthurt when they are underpaid or the funds are withdrawn from their bank account.

The resolution is not with the quickness if left up to the company to figure it out. Usually months down the road.

Also seen various mishaps when companies outsource accounting to places like Dubai or India.

I also doubt Kelly ever looks at the place where those checks are deposited. But his people doing that should have caught it within two cycles I would think.
