It's been said many times on here. He picked up a few, but the really elite ones who would have made us NC caliber were leaving. And they would have continued to leave (see Clayton, Spears) if he had been retained.

If recruiting better than your predecessor is the qualification, then you might as well say that Hallman "started the process".

What it comes down to is that the DiNardo era has been inflated by most, since January 2007, so that Saban's contributions to the program would be marginalized. The more it looks like he didn't leave an absolute disaster of a football team for Saban, the less impressive Saban's accomplishments were here.

He may be goofy and say silly stuff but he is not dumb. Miles is a smart guy.

And now there is the myth that anyone can recruit at LSU to diminish Les Mile's accomplishments while at LSU.

It goes both ways brah.

That the only way a coach can win natl championships is by constantly hollering at his players during games.

This. Gerry Dinardo got LSU turned in the right direction. He peaked and got fired. I appreciate what he did for LSU.

Skip Bertman was only about the dollar.

Skip hired Smoke Laval in order to ensure (Bertman's) legacy when Smoke fails.

Dale Brown ran a complete Saintly basketball program.

Negatives threads of which I believe are either bandwagon fans after 2003 or kids who were to young to deal with the 90's.
