I think it would be Gilmore if we had to make the change next year.

Miles has known about this for sometime then. He pulled a Malveto on Auburn

Take what moscona says with a grain of salt. He's following the Colin Cowherd style of radio now. Entertainment and riling a bunch of people up with his "inside sources" and "breaking news exclusives"

The more I read that article, the more I'm convinced he read the TR and is just regurgitating posts.

Agree with this. Pelini is a known commodity here at LSU and the D was intense under him.

Don't know if he would leave but it is definitely higher profile for him to be at LSU.

I probably prefer Aranda from the group, but mostly because he'll be cheap, a great hire, and I can see him staying on staff long term (meaning at least 4 years). The other coaches I would be worried about being 1 and dones or 2 years and done. Not trying to do this again next year.

I'd prefer Venables or Aranda.

I'd prefer Venables too, but he already made a lateral move from Oklahoma to Clemson, so I don't think he would do that again. Plus, Clemson is a pretty stable job right now and the perception is that LSU is not.

Aranda is going to be our guy. I'm DALSU certain of it.

After the interviews last year he should have a good idea who he wants and what it takes to get them.

Agree with this. Miles should know who to zero in on pretty quickly and what it will take to get the deal done.

some people on here are delusional....it'll be the SOS that happened last year.....Orgeron will end up being DC because no one will want the job due to the BS Miles clause....we'll end up hiring some non-entity D Line coach.

Bigger problem is lack of a big, block-eating DT.

While I agree, Wisconsin's current starter at NT is listed at 6'4 272. Lacouture is bigger than him and they had like the #4 rush defense in college football. Aranda is very good at utilizing what he has.

DE - Godchaux, Herron
NT - Lacouture, Gilmore
DE - Neal, Clark

OLB - Key, Teuhema (if he is even gonna be on the team next year, IDK what his deal is), Washington?
ILB - Beckwith (fingers crossed), Divinity?
ILB - Riley?, Fowler?
OLB - Bower, Alexander, Thornton?

Wouldn't be too bad. We could piece it together. Would probably be unbelievable against the pass with the kind of pass rush and coverage we could get, but struggle some against the run. We really need Beckwith to come back.

Wisconsin fans would shite themselves if they lost their DC to us the offseason before we travel to Green Bay to face the Badgers.

I hate to burst your bubble bromein, but beckwith, Neal, and lacouture are most likely gone depending on what grade they get back.
