Aranda is probably realistic because Alvarez is very cheap and will not get into a bidding war. Additionally, he is very good, at least statistically.

I wouldn't be upset with Aranda hire but I don't he has the personnel here to run a 3-4 especially since we'll be drained at LB next year.

Bigger problem is lack of a big, block-eating DT.

1. Pelini (been here and his D's were fricking nasty)
2. Aranda
3. Venables

Herron Lacoutre Godchaux DL
Key, Beck(please stay), Fowler, Bower/Neal LBs.

Ehh it could work. Bring him on down.

If we get Rashaun Smith. There's our ILB.

I would love Aranda coming in as DC and HCIW. Let Miles ride off into the sunset next year, and Aranda taking over in 2017.

I'm for Coach O.

But if we go outside, I'd look at Bud Foster from VA Tech.

A couple 4-3 d ends on this team can play 3-4 outside linebacker. Having a space eater at nose tackle is gonna be the key part.

How about Todd Orlando? Looks like he's doing well as DC for Houston today against Florida State.

yes yeS yES YES!!

At this point, Pendergast would be a disappointment.

So I guess we should pencil him in already.

Aranda would jump at the chance, according to a source close to him.

If true, Miles needs to lock him up quickly, in my meaningless opinion.

Let's assume there's some substance to this article and not just a rehash of what they read on the Rant--a big assumption, I know.

I'd prefer Venables or Aranda.

I wouldn't be unhappy with Pelini, part deux. He'd be better than Steele.

Clancy Pendergast would be a great hire. I don't buy this business that "he doesn't have recruiting connections in the South."

All he has to do is flash that Super Bowl ring.

That's all the recruiting connections he needs.

Really, any of those would be solid hires.

Two of those were in the cue last time though and we couldn't pull them. I assume that someone in the know feels the 2nd time could be the charm?

Take what moscona says with a grain of salt. He's following the Colin Cowherd style of radio now. Entertainment and riling a bunch of people up with his "inside sources" and "breaking news exclusives"
