I’m not sold on Sloan. I think he should’ve been allowed to be an OJT OC, just not at LSU. The fact that they were able to move the ball as well as they did, was a testament to the talent, more than his suspect play calling.

Nobody in the country has anywhere near the talent we do

The gap is pretty big in the SEC

o-line will take a little step backwards in pass pro but be worlds better with run blocking.

Everyone acts like last years unit was great.
They were good at pass Pro, but they could NEVER get a push when needed.

I’m interested to see the impact of the new OL assistant from FSU (Alex Atkins maybe?)and Kyle Williams at DL. If we improve the coaching as well as the big game performances on both lines of scrimmage the sky is the limit for this team.

Running more pistol with some play action will win us the NC.

If Nuss gets an extra second or two, this O will explode.

The defense has to continue to improve and not give up the big plays. Our offense has to free up our small but fast running backs so that they can make big plays as well as the passing game. We can't possibly make the playoffs without a running game. And last but not least, hold the turnovers to a minimum as we will not doubt be in tight games all year long.

Atkins is the key to the o line this season. Davis is a good recruiter. He isn't impressive as an o line coach.

Everyone counting portal guys as sure things needs to taper a bit. Hopefully, they're all great. But a lot of confidence on this board is based on guys who haven't played a down yet for us.

I somewhat agree. But we didn’t go out and get average transfers. We went out and got the best guys available. Guys with proven production in college football. All conference type guys. A few of the guys are unproven but for the most part we brought in proven talent.

I think X factor will be nussmeier. He will tear everyone up to the point the defense won’t matter

Which makes me think we'll struggle @Clemson in the opener going against that D-line.

I know they're highly regarded by NFL scouts but they were kind of underwhelming on the field last year. That was last year, I know, but bad ACC teams ran on them all year. I'm not sure they deserve the hype they're getting.

Only Bama and A&M have more blue chip talent. OM and Clem are way below using the blue chip index as a measuring stick.

All the bad asses departed for the NFL. No bad asses with any significant experience return. Thompson and Moore are the only hope, outside of Sloan scheming the Offense to duplicate 2019 where the QB is getting the ball out of his hand very fast so the OL doesn't have to hold their blocks too long........

Hopefully these 'lesser' OL can run block a little better than last year's group.
