Some LSU fans will shite a brick if a Tulane coach is hired.

Isn't Summerall basically the same as hiring Napier for Fla??

No, Sumrall has won at 2 schools and has never been fired or demoted as an assistant.

Watch some Tulane games and you’ll see a coach who demands physical disciplined football. By the way he can manage the clock well which Billy was miserable at for ULL.

Let me guess, you’re an Ole Miss or Florida fan.

You can take off Joe Brady, James Franklin, Jimbo Fisher and Nick Saban, for starters. If people are betting they're going to be the next head coach here, they'd be better off just giving me their money.

Strangely, a few people think Freeman will be one of LSU's top choices. Can't say I care for that one too much.

Didn't you hear? Frank Wilson has agreed to HC the tigers in 2026. It is "confirmed".

Jimbo Fisher?

You say that jokingly. That's Woodward's boy and he wants to coach again.

Random, uninformed opinion. Franklin is too high, Lashlee too low.

Mike Grundy sure would be interesting.

Didn’t Kelly come out of no where after O was fired.

Next coach might not even be on this list

Have you listened to Sumrall talk? He has the “it” you’re looking for in a coach. He commands the room. People respect him. He’s acquainted with SE Louisiana. His players love him. And he’s a hard arse. If you’re looking for a “fit”, this guy might be the closest thing to it.

I’d be happy with Kiffen as well, but Sumrall would be a really good hire at cheaper rate. Honestly, with the financial situation, Sumrall makes the most sense.

Didn't he just become literally the HIGHEST paid coach in college football with his new Indiana contract...something like $12.5 million per year

When you hire him set the new gold standard for NCAA coaching contracts.
Modest to low base salary. Backloaded with nice incentives and performance bonuses.
