Now granted two of those games were McNeese and La Tech but that’s 42 ppg. Putting up those type of numbers should equal more wins

Offense has been fine. Other than the turnovers, they’ve been doing their job

Blake Baker is wasting this season

for an offense with a

weak o line
Qb still learning
receivers with the drops/not blocking well
injuries to a TE and WR

that is light years better than burger king without denbrock and JD5.

imagine how good we can be when all of the above gets fixed and we develop chemistry/continuity. definitely a positive to look forward to.

I agree - no one saw losing whit spears and green for the season - which is significant- also don’t discount the revenge aspect of Sloan Heard Breaux Darby story - I think all our ghost are behind us and if this team can buy some luck at auburn and Tenn than we can get there.

Gotta figure in turnovers on short fields into opponents scores... since we are only caring about the 2 losses.. check them first.

What kind of crap is this?

24 is not enough to beat Ole Miss

34 is with OT and they gave up a punt return TD.

I'm sorry, not sorry, but I'm not understanding using all the scores data to point to needing more wins here when 24 is pretty sad versus that terrible Ole Miss defense.

The defense definitely needed to do better against Kentucky, but they made adjustments and kept them out of the end zone enough in the 2nd half. LSU had multiple times to end the game on offense at the end and failed. Just get one more first down on either of those last two possessions.

Agreed but our offense needs to stop turning the ball over and giving their offense more drives and shorter fields.

Of course it's on the defense, specifically Blake Baker's playcalling on the final drives of both halfs, first vs Ole Miss and again vs Kentucky. The zone prevent page needs to be clipped from his playbook.

I have lost confidence in Baker in SEC games. He is a mediocre against equal talent and only really shines against teams we totally out man.

Saying we scored 34 points Saturday is misleading. We had one real TD drive the entire night. One TD came in OT, and two others came on gimmick plays that we shouldn't need to be running to beat Kentucky. The defense held them to 3 points in the 2nd half before the last drive. If the offense could have mustered more than 10 against a bottom quartile SEC defense, LSU wins.

The defense on the last drive was ridiculous though. No defending that mindset.

That's my view

Florida put up 52 on Ole Miss, Louisville put up 38 on them
Bama put up 45 on them without OT (32 points in a half) and we matched South Carolina's 27 in regulation

Defense isn't good but I thought the offense would be in the upper tier to outscore most other teams
