Tulane or some other bad team will get in with an 11 - 1 record instead of a 9 - 3 LSU.

Tulane and JMU were total charity games.

Texas and or Vandy would have been 10x more competitive than those teams without a doubt. Hell even Michigan last season would have been more interesting.

I’m a big advocate for ZERO G5’s in the CFP. I’m also an advocate for zero ACC and or Big12 teams in the CFP on down years. Like in 24 Clemson and SMU both had no business being in there.

@Auburn concerns me more than aTm at home.

I think we beat Ole Miss easily… I got a feeling we shite the bed against Clemson… which I guess can be forgiven first game in all

Nah, if they are good enough to beat Bama this year they will not lose 3 games.

Thus, schedule USL to start the season. Just the way it is. Get zero bonus points for playing tough out of conference games. Nobody looks at anything but the final record.

If they have no chemistry after 6 weeks, and 2 games we are in trouble…

Trust me, I prefer this game plan. Cage rush and force him to his weaker side of the field.

Blake Baker refuses to do this
Maybe because LSU doesn't have two All American's at edge rusher and the game has evolved? Johnny didn't even know the playbook. There was no strategy.

If you just play contain now, teams will gash you up the middle. If you bring LB down, they'll RPO you to death in the short game. Offenses have evolved dramatically in the last 15 years. The slow developing Mesh RPO was quite literally not in playbooks in 2012.

It’s not fair to expect playoffs year 1 but it also wouldn’t be surprising to see them really good this year.

Thrilled to have a legit good coach and also a great fit. Lsu football will be fun again. Would be shocked if Lane isn’t highly successful at lsu.

Our QB (coming off injury) will have spent a total of 6 weeks with our cobbled together offensive roster by the time that game arrives.

What a complete dumbass take. Literally the same situation Ole Miss was in last season. They lost everybody the year prior, and by game 3 was starting a D2 transfer at QB because the guy in the first 2 games got hurt.

Go look up where all those WRs came from. Go look up what that RB did the year before he got to Ole Miss. Go check out that offensive line.

Yall are so ignorant man.

First, Leavitt seems to be 100%. Running at 21 mph and being able to do windmill dunks per Kiffin pretty much confirms that. Second, a "cobbled together {talented} offensive roster" is 10 times better than an OL for example with little talent as 2025 had. Only the center Braelin Moore was an SEC caliber starting OL.

Ridiculously overrated. You know the teams that people say have no chemistry LOSE games. If those exact same players win the same games, all of sudden they have chemistry. You have 0 idea about those factors you mentioned...0 !

Ole Miss will not be an easy game...Clemson will be. LSU beat Clemson away last year with Nussmeier at QB and a poor OL and Brian Kelly as HC and Sloan as the OC. Clemson had 2 DL drafted in the 1st round and lost their QB...albeit not a great one. LSU wins this game by 14 points.
