Next season will be 50% capacity unless Biden wins in November.

If 100k people show up to tailgate/protest on gameday, how could they stop them?
Posted on 9/9/20 at 12:22 pm to kingbob
I don’t think enough people care anymore to do that since every sport on earth is in bed with BLM now.

Golf and Hockey are still safe.
Also, gonna be so many house parties where people hang out in even closer situations than an open tailgate.
All of this is pointless.

Which is my theory as to why sports have taken this approach. They knew people would revolt if they could not patronize their beloved sports franchises, so by turning the people against those franchises, the government can continue to tighten the noose on civil liberties and the right of assembly without triggering mass revolt.

This is so silly

What was, up until maybe 5 years ago. more unifying across all demographics than sports fandom?
Take (or threaten to take) away something people love, and they throw a fit, but, take away something people are already angry at, and people will either be ambivalent or thank you for it thinking “psh, serves them right”.

There will be tailgating just not on campus.

The idea that there’s a hive mind pulling these strings behind everything going on in the world is ridiculous and delusional

It's even scarier thinking everyone is becoming a dumbass liberal on their own.

I mean, have you ever watched news broadcasts? You’ll notice that every day, every network comments on the exact same list of stories, with the exact same takes on those stories, and even uses the exact same keywords to describe those events, yet there is no “hivemind”? The entire infotainment industry literally operates as a hivemind!

They all just pull from NYT/WSJ or the AP. And then they see oh this is what everyone else is talking about so we should too. That’s more laziness and living in a media echo chamber than anything.

I can’t say that I agree with your whole take but this is very true, and it’s the saddest thing about all this. Took something seemingly incorruptible and made it divisive. I hope things get back to normal one day but I don’t think you can ever fully put that genie back in the bottle.

quote:I'm fairly certain talking points are dispersed among the MSM in regard to larger stories that include specific responses. Editors, producers, and writers are generally given the same material when approaching a party leader for their view on a topic. It's definitely lazy. But it's also definitely orchestrated to a degree.

Watch Sept 26th..... this is gonna turn into a shite show. There will be tons of people on campus... what are they gonna do??? Arrest them all...... I do not want anyone to get sick , BUT it’s time to just let it loose and see what happens.... I assure any number of sick will be way way lower than the so called experts say.
