LSU featured on College Gameday W1 and W3 do you think we'll get a 3rd?

Arguably, LSU is only "getting" one Gameday appearance. The week's game. Ole Miss is getting the appearance in 3 weeks. That being the case, I could see Gameday returning to LSU for the Texas @ LSU game depending upon how the season looks at that point in the year.

If we and Bama were undefeated then perhaps. Texas is looking more likely tho

I think for their record keeping they seperate hosting and appearance.

If both LSU and Texas are undefeated at the end of the year, that would be a hard matchup for ESPN to pass up.

If we’re undefeated or only 1 loss, then Bama or Texas are both very good possibilities. Depending on Bama / Texas record coming in. But both weeks have a pretty solid slate of games, so really going to depend on how the season has played out for everyone until that point.
Bama week has Oregon-Ohio State, Oklahoma-Florida, Georgia-Ole Miss.
Texas week has Oregon-Michigan, USC-Indiana, Tennessee-A&M, Ole Miss-Oklahoma
At least with Bama, we both have a bye week before that game. So if LSU and Bama are both 7-1 or better, ESPN can make the decision to go to Baton Rouge almost 2 weeks ahead of time and not have to worry about either team taking a loss the week before that takes a little luster off the matchup.

I’ve read a lot of Alt deep dives but you are completely wrong on this. That’s not arguable.
LSU has the 8th most “appearances” on College Gameday with 38 total.
They’ve only hosted 14 times.
“Appearances” include the opponent even if they aren’t hosting
For example:
#16 LSU @ South Carolina 9/14/24
#13 LSU @ #8 Bama 11/4/23
#1 LSU vs #3 Clemson NCG 1/13/20
#4 UGA vs #1 LSU SEC CG 12/7/19
#1 LSU @ #2 Bama 11/9/19
#6 LSU @ #9 Texas 9/7/19
