The something going on is the fact that he has been coaching so many nfl level qb’s and has north Texas in playoff contention and no lsu fan has noticed somehow.

I’m not doubting he’s possibly a rising star.

I just sense someone(s) are trying to lay the groundwork for something.

Dude, Morris is on my personal list, our offense would TAKE OFF (no pun intended) with him as our HC

Eric Morris is legit.

He knows qbs and offense. I was reading about his process for picking qbs. He has non negotiables and he seems to know what he us doing.

This is why lsu should hire a firm that vets candidates. Look at 3 or 4 guys and pick the best fit.

I agree with you but you will make too much sense for alot on here. He is killing it and has been killing it all along his career. He has a great offensive mind and he has alot of passion. He plucked Cam Ward out of a wishbone offense in a juco and developed him. He found Mateer for Wazzou. Baker mayfield at Tech. The qb he has now never played a down of HS ball and he is leading the Country in passing yardage and TDs

If you wanna take a big swing on a non P4 coach, this guy would be a fine choice. Qb track record is as good as it gets. Plus he’d come cheap and you’d have more money for players and assistants.

Great. Sounds like the beginning of Auburn and 3-4 bad hires in a row.

A 43-33 overall record and losing seasons his first two years before this one gives me pause.

5-7 in 2023
6-7 in 2024

Would be mighty risky.

No coach is worth 10, 12, 15 million dollars a year. $1.8 sounds like a deal.

His offense and resume speak for themselves and we are LSU we have way more resources than Auburn. We have dealt with a head coach who had a first time playcaller and no offensive identity we need a different approach LSU would be foolish not to interview him and kick the tires in my opinion

This is what I would do if I were AD. Get a guy like this, load the program with NIL funding, and make him look like a genius with better players than everyone else. Take the heat on the hire for a bit until everyone buys in.

He’s short? Hmm…

Saban is short

Jay Johnson is short

That’s enough for me. Hire him!

Or Danny DeVito…just saying.

Also this is BS hyperbole.

His 8-1 team is unranked and got blown out 63-36 by USF. Sure they still have a chance to win the AAC, but JMU (SBC) probably gets in ahead of UNT

I am a senior at LSU and I was at the Texas A&M game and you could see being at the game the players quit on Kelly special teams giving up gashing returns like that is a lack of effort we at LSU deserve a coach the players like and can get behind. I wish I was an agent I’m broke as hell applying for entry jobs ??
