I really am glad we got Anderson and I want Lamar brown to be great here. As for retention. Instead of scholarship caps, there are now maximum limits for the total number of athletes a team can have on its roster. (this was changed in June of 2025). I think for LSU offense there are very few players that should be retained no matter what: Barry, Kyle Parker(he gives high effort and can block), Moore(C), and a few o lineman are all should be given significant attention to. There is a culture issue with this offense. A new coach and new group is essential. As for defense, retain everyone that will stay. The team will look drastically different and that’s okay take advantage of the new limit rule. We will likely have a better late signing period (outside of Anderson and hopefully brown) because so many coaches have moved and many are pushing commitments back. We have to trust Lane Kiffin, he will do what is necessary in the end.

It’s obvious player development has been an issue. recruiting will always be the lifeblood. It’s also true that Lane has had 3 days to approach the early signing day. It’s pretty obvious next seasons HS class will be better and pivotal. This season you have no choice than to prioritize the portal. It’s not casual BS recruiting is important but no 18 year old is more important than a coach and the rest of the team.

I quit all my vices last year it’s weird. I feel like I’ve changed completely sometimes it does suck. I miss how music sounded and that awesome buzz. Quit for personal reasons but I do think it’s good to have a method of “escape”

Most of the top players we thought were “can’t miss” never played, sucked, or transferred. The transfer portal will take 40% of your recruiting class over time anyways. Take the best kids you can get and address “misses” in the portal. This roster cannot be patched with 18 year olds anyways develop the kids that you get and the portal is you bread winner.

Great point this is a class with a fired HC whatever happens the portal class this year probably more than any in the kiffin era at lsu is huge. We could use 2 QBs, a rb, WRs, O-line, EDGE, a LB, dbs for depth

I assume Raymond is the only certain retain. Lane has had the same rb coach for 8 years and respectfully our RBs have been worse than theirs. Important to note Frank would be awesome as recruiting coordinator but doubt he wants on field job. LSU + Lane can recruit will not be as big a hit as yall think.

Ole Miss rb Lacy has 20 yes 20 rushing tds on the year… if you take out the SLU game lsu has scored 19 touchdowns on the season….. Oklahoma game was the best reason to bring the best playcaller in America. Lane brings about elite offense the resources at OM and FAU are laughable in comparison to LSU. Y’all gonna judge CLK off jobs he had over 10 years ago??? These are the glory days man celebrate!!
