This Depth Chart is obviously a moving target and will become obsolete within days or possibly hours.
[Edit: WR Devonta Lee has entered the portal, and WR Kyren Lacy is transferring in from ULL.]
• All incoming freshmen and transfers are placed at the bottom of the Depth Chart at their respective positions.
• Incoming transfers are placed ahead of incoming freshmen.
• Only one incoming transfer had a Transfer ranking on 247sports, and I chose not to add the others' High School rankings.
• Reminder: So long as there are no actual games being played, you should not expect these images to reflect anything official.

It's going to come down to o line and defense up the middle.

Linebackers and safeties.

Looks like Devonta Lee is gone

LSU WR Devonta Lee, a four-star recruit in the 2019 class, has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal.

I'm not mad about that. We need maybe 1 or 2 more WRs from HS/Portal but we are fricking STACKED at WR

Boute
Brian Thomas Jr.
Chris Hilton
Malik Nabers
Jack Bech
Jaray Jenkins
Maybe Deion Smith
Ibieta

I'm hoping they put sage at free safety.

It's wide open and brooks can play nickel. Ward can also play nickel.

I'd put sage at one of the safety spots. If not you can always move him back to nickel.

Think we need the following to round it out:

Center
Another Guard or Tackle to compete.
TE
Another WR for Depth
DT
DE
At least 2 more Linebackers
Another Legit Corner

I’m much more worried about corners than safeties. Between Ward, Toles, Ryan, Davis, Langlois, Harris, and Burns we have a ton of options for safeties. Not all if those guys are proven and not all can necessarily play FS but we have enough depth that whoever wins out should be a good player.

Corner depth is looking a little scary though. Ward can go back to CB and Ryan can stay at NB which helps a little. Feels like we need at least one more experienced transfer who can play immediately at CB, plus at least a couple of developmental guys (HS or young transfers) to fill the pipeline.

A lot depends on what happens with McGlothern I guess.

LB, CB/S, TE, WR, OL

Those positions need to be target for our 13 remaining spots

Just realized?

Does Todd Harris have another year of eligibility? The Covid year or a medical redshirt?

Oh man...

You think they move Ward back to CB? Our defense was much better when he played S. Tho I think his leadership is his greatest asset on Defense.

Devonta Lee was clearly waiting for you to post a new depth chart before entering the portal.

So 15 spots left? Assuming they keep 3 open for after spring ball

OL - 3
CB - 2
LB - 2
DL - 1
S - 1
WR - 2
TE - 1

That would give every position depth plus leaves a few spots open to fill in the spring. Not bad.

I think Foucha and Either Ryan or Burns will start at the safety positions. Brooks will probably start at nickel. And Miles Frazier is going to be a starting tackle.
