Comparing Brennan to Burrow isn't fair. It's not fair to Brennan, it's not fair to your expectations.

Just support the kid.

That's funny. I heard Rohan about a month ago saying that he thought Brennan would be the starter. Then I heard Rohan about two weeks later say Max was the impending starter.

Just face the facts. Neither of us know anything. They have kept it close to the vest just like they wanted to.

What I dont understand is the Max love fest after two ok games last year. Yes he has tons of talent, but starting a true sophomore is not idea. I also hope he developed better accuracy.

Losing Brennan hurts Lsu badly. He had a great arm and great deep ball and from all accounts good understanding of the offense. Even if he didn't play he was much needed depth. I dont understand posters that are trying to act like this isn't a big deal.

I thought Max played well and was calm but some of his passes were pretty bad. To be fair, Myles were too. Myles has the better arm, Max has the better wheels.

Myles is more seasoned in the program. Don't get me wrong, I like Max, A LOT.

I think it's a little premature to get hung up on him as being all that though. That is not a shot at him by any stretch of the imagination. The kid is super talented. He just hasn't had as much time as Myles. And while time isn't the prerequisite to being a starter, both have competed and done well, from what I've read.

To be so dismissive of one of those QBs and say, "well he'll be the back up and they don't play and they should just transfer" is ridiculous. That's not fair to either QB or to that person's expectations. Get rid of that guy and we have Joe Burrow again. No. That's not fair to Max.

I get the favoritism and such but to dog Myles is pretty low. Not directed at you.

It’s not an on the field comparison. I simply stated what one was willing to do to be a better player in the offseason.

No, I understand that. My comment was directed at that other poster.

It's ok to support both QBs.

Poor Brennan can't catch a break! He will play well for OU when he enters the transfer portal. Better than Jalen Hurts.

Lol Brennan wouldn’t beat out Caleb Williams next year.

I told everyone Myles would get hurt, he just doesn't have an SEC body, too skinny, no muscles. Sad for him.

Yeah. Part of what made Max the "better option" was his running ability. But I'd imagine the coaching staff will be really hesitant to call any design runs for him now.

The didn’t worry with Burrow. Maybe that same philosophy is in tact.

I saw a picture of him at a team leadership meeting a few months ago. It looked like he had bulked up a bit.

Losing Brennan probably just sent any hope of SEC championship up in smoke.

I am sure that Max is good, but doubt he will lead LSU to a championship this year.

Such appalling luck.

Has he though? LSU has invested a shite load of time and money on this kid. They have given him every opportunity to be the starting QB at LSU. Not to mention the NIL shite just had him sign a deal with Hollingsworth. Think they’re happy about this? You want to be paid and treated like a pro? You better start acting like it.

Yes, he has busted his arse. He was atop the SEC in production and got hurt. He came back and had secured the position as starter.

You're talking out of your arse. You have no clue.
So after your junior year, you stayed home that summer?

Ed O brought Deculus to Birmingham with him, as opposed to Brennan.

O didn't want to tip his hand on who the starter was going to be when both qbs were healthy

The understanding of the entire offense.

Maybe people couldn't notice because they can't see that deep into the play calling, but the offense became really different when Brennan got hurt. Max and TJ were running the most basic version of the offense.

Doubt it. He’s Sam Bradford without the accolades.
