ETA: LSU has used all 25 allotted signing spots for this year's roster. This means they cannot add depth from the transfer portal this fall. Max and Nussmeier are the current available QBs, per Shea Dixon.

He’s done. I just don’t see anyway possible that Johnson isn’t the starter day 1.
Even a small surgery will require 2 weeks to recover from. Even with it being his non-dominant shoulder he won’t be able to take a hit and may have trouble wearing shoulder pads without significant discomfort.
