I agree with you. In my opinion, these were the best uniforms LSU has had. Mesh jerseys, shiny pants, stripes in the right location, and bring back the block numbers. Only thing I would add is a Tiger head on the bottom of the collar (see above) instead of "LSU" like they have on the current jerseys.

It's not just a question about being "traditional" or "not wanting to change" of being an old FART... We have an instantly recognizable uniform. It is Branding... Marketing... And it is a good thing.
I was fine with the crazy uni day vs Tulane in the dome. But that's about it.

We're one of the few schools with this color scheme besides ECU and northern iowa.
I didn't really care for the gold helmets in that 2009 Arkansas game, I thought we looked like Washington Huskies.
As a national brand, it's the purple and yellow... we can call it gold all we want, but it's bright arse mustard yellow

LSU did wear solid gold unis in two consecutive road games in 1959, at Kentucky and at Florida! They were fabulous!

I don't mind it. I also don't have an issue tinkering with the colors 1 or 2 games a season as long as you can tell it's the LSU uniform. I just don't want them wearing a different uniform more than once every few seasons. Sure it's not tradition, but the recruits and fans enjoy it.

It is mustard colored. Everyone here should know by now that LSU thinks Kraft Mustard yellow is actually gold. Has been for years.

Anybody want the old number font back? It’s not a big deal but the thicker block number font looks a little bit cooler to me..
