Wade paraphrase: We'll be movin' up after beating the computers.

Dammit if he wasn't right

Lot of games played yesterday, not a lot of teams we played, but could be a lot of teams our opponents have played and did well.

Yet, somehow Jerry Palm has us as a 7 seed in his newest bracket (updated today). We have 10 Q1/Q2 wins and 5 wins over teams in his projected field (and no losses outside of his projected field).

LINK

Lundari has us at 5 - probably about right for now.

Isn't a lot of that projection? Not where we are today, but where they think we will be.

I would imagine there is a lot of thought that we can't sustain this, due to the close games we have been playing.

I don't agree, but I can see the logic.

Tough to tell for sure. It’s usually based on resume to that point.

Given that he updates 2-3 times a week based on games played (and changes in NET), seems like it is more real time versus projecting where teams will finish.

This emphasizes how important winning at home is. Oregon st was 91st in NET and Stanford dropped 11 spots for losing to them. Ole miss is currently 108th

It is so wide open this year. Half of the teams in front of us don't scare me.

I'm just still scratching my head at a couple of the early season losses.

The teams we lost to are all projected to be in the tournament or on the bubble. The ETSU game and second half of Utah St. were poor performances, but we don't have any bad losses at this point in the season.

It's not so much that they lost at home. It's that they lost to a BAD team at home. Actually, winning on the ROAD is much more important that winning at home.

That said, games like the one tomorrow are games where a loss hurts you much more than an win helps you. Basically, LSU is just trying to hold serve and not suffer a "bad" loss tomorrow. In fact, even though Vandy is a worse team than Ole Miss, a win AT Vandy would be much bigger than a win tomorrow.
