I love when people act like it has to be an either or thing. Getting rid of 30 year old high school bleachers from the old Box isn’t going to hurt Johnson’s ability to recruit, develop players, and win. I promise it won’t.

How are they going to put the bullpens under the old bleachers without making them taller? The Intimidator will have to be moved also?

The right field bullpen for the home team will be moved from the right field foul line to a "newly constructed area under the right-field bleachers." The visitors bullpen by the left field foul line will be moved behind a newly built wall down but will remain down the left field line.

A few things:
1. I have a feeling placing the home bullpen underneath the bleachers might be a bad idea. I just know they're gonna frick up puting a ceiling that won't leak beer and coke down on the pitchers warming up. Not to mention the stomping and rattling from the crowd above. Especially if that stays the student section.
2. Having these premium seating areas along the entire length of the foul lines prevents normal fans from being close to the players. Think about kids coming to the botton row to get a players attention to sign autographs. And what about the last lap around the warning track for the last home game of the year?
Do you really think the ushers are gonna let reg fans in the premium areas?
3. All they had to do was add chairbacks along left a right field. If they just did that I would be jubilant. This just makes the fan experience worse.

Yes it will suck bigly for the fans who are in the lower sections along the lines. So much for the kids being able to get foul balls and fan access to the players.
Instead new corporate type guests and big TAF donors will have access to these things effectively blocking some of the things that have made baseball at the Box great since we were across the street on Skip Bertman Dr.
frick whoever came up with and approves of this "improvement".

It’s time for the BOS to meet and vote to build a new basketball arena. The PMAC dump needs to be blown up. Time for a new arena for four LSU sports (BB, WBB, Volleyball and Gymnastics)!

Speaking of the intimidator, it is way too small. We need a massive intimidator.

Because it is an either or. There aren’t unlimited funds available. Baseball isn’t flush with cash and what they do get to spend they spend it on what it takes to win.

I agree with y’all on the chair backs.
But the bullpens down the lines are hilarious and good for a couple of opponent injuries each year.

Why didn’t they do this voting in the offseason? Season just started and now they are looking at this.

I don’t see why they just don’t put them both in center field if they have room for them. Instead of moving of the left field and right field bleachers. Many fields have the bull pens in center field

Seconded. My 3 season tickets were exactly there and were like $300 per ticket per season. Incredible value when we lived in town. I love the on field bullpens. It’s so classic and puts you close to the players and game.
LSU continues to squeeze the nuts of their fans while at the same time whoring out with the rest of college athletics for insane amounts of tv money. The tv money I get 100%, but I wish that would ease them off of milking their fans for every dollar they can directly as well. I had enough of it when I went to AB last year and saw they were now trying to get tips for the freaking Aramark employees. A tip for cold arse Tostitos nachos???

The right & left field lines should be chairback seats & covered. I refuse to sit out there during afternoon games.

I’m not saying it’s unheard of, but there are other considerations like a new track and a new basketball arena.
Baseball isn’t the only sport on campus. There are other sports fighting over a limited number of dollars.

I’m dealing with all those names on that drawing (architect, engineer, etc) on a separate project in south Louisiana. They’re professional and helpful.

Yeah but that doesn't make them more $$$

When are they gonna upgrade the batters eye? It'll probably save them money in the long run because I'm sure they need to throw some new garbage bags up there weekly.
