Yes, let’s bench the guy who’s 3rd on the team in BA and slugging in conference play.

And he wants Kling and Pearson in the field , put tre on first and that takes jones out at first. I guess if your goal is to take as much pop out of the lineup as possible in one or two moves then that would be the way to go

You leave Morgan in the field because that’s the lineup that’s led the country in runs and I can tell you the numbers don’t show much of a difference in errors at first

Wouldn't it be awful for LSU to lose a playoff game because of a bad throw to first base that our first baseman couldn't dig out of the dirt?

Well we don’t play playoff games so there’s that.

He is our 4th best hitter in conference play. And that's including Travenski.

Perceptions are so odd. For me it’s Kling, I know he’s wildly talented but every time I’m watching it’s a strikeout or something else meh. It’s like my bladder is timed with his great moments.

They are called regional and super regional games. You should at least get that right before crying.

Ok CPM. Didn't everyone scream and holler for 10 years when the previous coach had a defensive lineup but lacked hitting?

Perceive this for a moment: true freshman, one of team leaders in hitting stats. Came in 4th best catcher, played DH and first to get his much needed swing in. I'll never grow tired of this because it represents the homerun ball. The thing.

Pearson and Kling as the corner OF

This! Absolutely this. The reason RF has been a struggle all year, is because no one has been given the chance to get comfortable at the plate. They strike out or popup and they get pulled. Let Kling and Pearson play without fear of getting pulled and they will both start producing at the plate and you will have solid defense on the corners.

Of course this does create another issue. What do you do with Jones? It's kind of ironic that Jones' bat is what is causing outfielder issues.

Unless Jones really starts to struggle offensively, he’ll be in the lineup. And he’ll be at 1B. He’s bigger and more athletic than Beloso, so that makes him the better option there. This also gives you the best overall offensive lineup, because of the inconsistencies this year from Jobert, Kling and Pearson. You can’t take Beloso or Jones out of the lineup in favor of one of those three guys. You just can’t. So that means Beloso and Jones will occupy 1B and DH. As another poster said, it’s on the infielders to make good throws.

In that case, you are taking Beloso out of the lineup.

This is patently false. Pearson has been given plenty of opportunities to earn more playing time. He’s had 97 plate attempts this season.

Agreed on the good throws
What about travinski and millazzo?
Millazzo is hitting well no power just for average and a great defensive player.
Travinski has been on a heater ath the plate but is a drop off defensively from Millazzo.
Jones is going through a little slump right now.
Let millazzo catch Travinski DH and Beloso 1st
Also let's not crown Kling he is very good w/ the glove but his bat is average just like Jobert , but less experience.

None of this means shite unless our 2nd and 3rd pitcher can throw 4 innings of average pitching.
Look I'd rather you throw strikes and get knocked out the game by the other team then just walk em around

Lol at letting belly stay in when he is in a much worse slump than Jones.

Do some of you even watch games? Jones ripped auburn apart on Saturday night. He was about the only one swinging well. He strikes out but the kid is a top half of the line up hitter you don’t take him out for anyone.

I can see an argument to move him to DH and Morgan back to 1st but then RF and LF have to step up.
