1.) CF - Curiel
2.) SS - Milam
3.) RF - Brown
4.) C - Arrambide
5.) 1B - Yorke
6.) 3B - Caraway
7.) 2B - Dardar (vs RHP) - Simpson (vs LHP)
8.) DH - Braun (vs RHP) - Pearson (vs LHP)
9.) LF - Stanfield

For the games Serna catches, put Serna in the 8-hole and let Arrambide DH.
I think Serna will eventually settle into backup catcher only, similar to Arrambide last year. Arrambide didn’t DH much last year, he was primarily Luis’ backup.

As for Simpson, I think he should be in the lineup vs lefties too, but at 2B. Simpson is our only right handed hitting second baseman, so I like him there vs lefty pitchers. Or you could put him in LF while Stanny’s out.
I think at the very least, he should be the DH vs left handed pitching.

I’m assuming the wind is blowing out to LF today? A lot of power right handed bats at the bottom of the lineup.
2 at bats in a row Cowan hung the two strike change up. Just couldn’t make the pitch to finish it.
Literally running ourselves out of the inning
I think he will be by the time SEC play starts
Guidry is looking really good. Not just a fastball/breaking ball anymore. He has a full arsenal of pitches. He looks more like a starter than a reliever now.
Looked like the elbow was out over the plate on that hbp
I agree too. I’d prefer Curiel leading off and Stanny 9 hole every game. But Jay knows ball way more than I do, so I trust him.
I have a feeling Stanny will lead off vs lefties and hit 9 hole vs righties. Just a guess.

Milwaukee is throwing a righty tomorrow, so we’ll see if I’m right lol.

Braun with the opening day start against a lefty. Oh yeah he’s about to go crazy

I was thinking about this earlier. If Braun is in the starting lineup as a true freshman on opening day against a lefty, Jay must have all the confidence in the world in him. This kid must be an absolute stud.

Pics?
If anyone is needed out of the bullpen this weekend, I think Jay will go to them. I don’t think anyone will be held out from coming in relief this weekend just so they can start on Monday or Wednesday.

Hopefully we just take care of business and win big all three games, and not need to go to any of them.
Adam’s late this morning. Must’ve partied too hard for the Super Bowl last night.
I haven’t seen him pitch in person, so I’m not sure if he’s just been working on different pitches or not. But he did have a much better outing in his most recent start on Thursday.

Seems like Serna’s bat is starting to heat up.

Back to back impressive outings from Zion. Looking like the midweek starter potentially?

There’s a game Monday too. So we could maybe see Schmidt start on Sunday and then Williams start on Monday, if Williams doesn’t come out of the bullpen during the weekend.
