I’m with you. I’m thinking Dardar at 1B and Yorke at DH.

I think Curiel plays CF next year even if Stanfield comes back.

I think Stanfield moves to LF if he comes back. Similar to how Braswell moved from SS to 3B this year to be able to insert Milam at SS.

The announcers seemed to think that the CC pitcher thought our 3rd base coach was looking in his glove to try to see his grip and tip his pitches to our hitters.
Has it already been announced that he’ll be behind home plate today?
Frey is draft eligible. I’m hoping he comes back, but he probably will get drafted and sign.
Noot is probably the best bet.

He started game 3 of the regional, and he started game 2 of the SEC tournament, which was the game after we used Anderson to start and Eyanson to close.

People may be writing him off a little bit because he didn’t have a great start against Little Rock in game 3 of the regional. But he had been pitching well before that outing. I’m hoping he gets the start tonight and gets back on track.

Not only the starting outfielders, but the depth too. They had two other really outfielders in the starting lineup.
Sciambra at DH, and Jared Foster at 2B.
2015 too

Fraley, Stevenson, Laird

Ramsey Dardar. Defensive Lineman in the early 80’s.

Where do we think the two transfers will fit into the lineup next year?
Simpson at 3B and Dardar at 1B?
Does that make Reaves the leading candidate for 2B?

Pics?
And Clemson’s mascot is the Tigers, and they call their football stadium Death Valley.
They want to be LSU so bad.
I want Coastal in the Super.

re: Who starts on the mound today?

I think that’s definitely the case for Evans, Shores and Cowan. But Noot is kind of a wild card.
If he can show that he can extend and be a reliable starter, he wouldn’t pitch again until game 3 of the regional, which would be Sunday, giving him a week and a day of rest.

I agree Jay probably wants to get Shores, Evans and Cowan some work today.
I think you can still do that with Noot starting.
Noot goes 4 or 5 innings. Shores, Evans and Cowan each get an inning or two.

I’d like to see Noot get the start today.
He looked good last week in 4 innings of relief on 55 pitches.
If he looks good, see if he can extend to around 70-75 pitches today.
If that happens, we have our game 3 starter for regionals, where he could maybe extend even more to around 90 pitches.
This would also allow us to keep Evans and Shores in the bullpen, giving us more depth there.

It seems like every one of his swings the last few weeks has been an off balance, weak swing.
Look for your pitch and get your swing off.

re: Evans over Cowan

I’ve always felt like Cowan should be our Sunday starter, even before the season started. He was the Friday night starter on a pretty good Wofford team last year.
Even before this weekend, he hasn’t been as sharp or dominant out of the bullpen the last few weeks as he was earlier in the year.
So maybe a change in role (a role he may be more comfortable in) would be a good thing for him.
And you can have Evans as your ace out of the bullpen.
Pitch calling is to blame for Cowan. His best pitch is the changeup, but he threw nothing but fastballs to one of their best hitters in a 1 run game with 2 runners on base. Ridiculous.
