LSU being slept on

Nationally people are leaving LSU for dead in the CFP. But, soon enough that won't be the case
1) Their loses are to the #9 and #15 teams in the country
2) They still have the 18th best CFP odds, and 5th best in the SEC
3) Their two hardest games left (Texas and Alabama) are at home. Favored in every other game
But maybe this is for the best. Be a bit under the radar the next few weeks, and then make the statement against Alabama.

They're being slept on because they haven't done anything. They haven't beaten a quality opponent and can't figure out how to win on the road. They don't have a road SEC win in 2 years. I think they need to focus on Miss State tomorrow and a massive trap game in Auburn next weekend before they worry about what the media thinks.

Nobody is saying they can't. The OP is saying we're being slept on when LSU hasn't shown anything to be hyped for anything yet. It doesn't matter what the media thinks. Play every week, win, and the narrative changes.

Kentucky is only in the top 15 because they have a joke of a schedule. Stop trying to spin the Kentucky loss like it's somehow forgivable. It's KENTUCKY with a first time head coach in his first season there. If you want to be considered a contender, you have to win games like that. I'm not even down on Kiffin and I still think he will be good for us overall, but this year just isn't our year.

Let's see how we do the next two games. We go into the bama game at 6-2, it will be lit at home, especially if we get Green and Weeks back. Just get through the next 2 weeks and then game by game. If we can beat Auburn on the road it will give us confidence against Tenn on the road.

No, they are ranked where they are because they beat LSU. Had UK lost that game by the spread, they would still be unranked.

As crazy as it sounds, I see this team losing to either Auburn or Tennessee on the road before I do Alabama or Texas at home. Mainly because this team plays like 2019 LSU at home and then looks like rotten dog shite on the road. Defensively mainly surprisingly. Two totally different teams home and away.

I think LSU can win out, but they have to man up on defense. They can't run that crap they ran against Kentucky. Our guys are best suited for man coverage.
Our offensive line needs a shakeup. I don't think Bah is the answer at RG, but is he the best we have right there? Are no backups pushing for playing time? Satterwhite was horrible against Kentucky also. Bordelon should have been inserted. What about Strey, Harper, Thomas? I mean, if the starters are struggling during the game, you have to change midstream and see if someone else can get the job done.
Texas and Alabama have weaknesses that can be attacked, but will Kiffin stay in attack mode too?
I think at worst we drop one more game and finish 9-3 this season, but that sets up for a huge 2027 season in which I fully expect LSU to be in the CFP national championship game.

Good. We were overhyped due to the amount of money spent on the roster, despite most of the transfers being unproven talent and a lot of depth pieces.
