The guy screams team player...will do whatever it takes

It’s baseless because you are able to compare their freshmen stats, & they look alike?
You're making a definitive statement that Eason is good and Leblanc is not. Seeing as how Eason has NEVER played a single minute in a LSU uniform it is a bit difficult to draw a definitive conclusion as to how he will perform in an LSU uniform. Yet, you make a definitive statement that he is better than Leblanc. My response is based on what evidence outside of sheer speculation?
If you make the comparison between BOTH players at the same stage of their careers, one full season of basketball at another major college prior to transferring to LSU the numbers look largely the same. Considering we have never seen Eason play at LSU it is a bit disingenuous suggest he is going to perform the same at LSU as he did at Cincy.

So that automatically means Eason develops like Leblanc has? A soon to be 22yr old that has not improved ? Is that the game you’re playing?
Who knows? Eason has never played at LSU. And that's the point. He may be much better than Leblanc right now. He may develop into a great player at LSU. He may be awful at LSU. But to say definitively Eason is "better" because he did this at Cincy compared to what Leblanc did or didn't do at LSU is a bad comparison. I know immediate and largely baseless overreaction is par for the course, but you kind of have to see BOTH play for LSU before we can come to any more definitive conclusions regarding who is better.
Because simply from a production standpoint freshman Tari Eason looks a lot like freshman Josh Leblanc.

It’s my opinion in which I believe. I have no reason not to be definitive baw
Tape shows a different skill set. I get the numbers are the same. Eason shows to be a higher caliber player

I agree with lester.
Leblanc is like a baby giraffe
He has no basketball iq.
Still has so much to learn.
To me he will never be a starter.

I’m still being told by the same source that told me a week ago that Adam Miller to LSU is a done deal and nothing has changed.

Not saying he won't develop though and/or be better with better coaching.
Very likely he will not get better coaching here

Go back and look at how many times we missed him on rolls and breaks, it’s astonishing. Hell we missed rolls off pick and rolls constantly with everyone. We missed him wide open in the lane on 4 fast breaks during the Michigan game. You can’t score without the ball. Also during the Arkansas game Moses was killing us until Leblanc came in and held him scoreless when he was in the game. Don’t confuse low production with low opportunity.

It's funny how everyone was saying lsu was going to be good next year but now half the team will be different
Looks like wade agreed with me
There will be more to come

There is NO WAY IN HELL I would take the time to research this, but if it was done, I bet Will Wade's first 4 years at a power 5 school is in the top 5% all-time. I'm talking about how successful the coach was in their first 4 years at a power 5.
Just a few off the top of my head that he was better than: Coach K, Dale Brown, Tony Bennett, Scott Drew. So yeah, I think it's very likely he will get coached well under Wade.

I get what you are saying but do you love leblanc's basketball iq?
He seemed to be out of position on defense a bunch.
He almost needs his mind to catch up to his body. Maybe it will but I'm not betting my money on it happening.
Guess we will see.

Idk if we have room for two more unless someone else is gone we don’t know about.
Wade will make whatever room he needs to.

I think your first two comments are connected. Most of the fouls he picked up were from him using his hands to guard perimeter players mostly guards which lowered his playing time. As far as offensively he just wasn’t a part of the plan, neither was anyone outside of the big 4. He didn’t accidentally score over 9ppg at Georgetown but in his role this season we did zero to afford him even chances on the offensive glass or on pick and roll situations. I think we saw instances where he excelled but those were very limited. I think it was more of a square peg round hole instance than basketball IQ.

You know we’re not going to run anything for Eason on offense either. He’s gonna have to get buckets off of garbage chances and dump offs too. If we’re a overly heavy jump shooting team the way we were this year it’ll effect him the same way it did Leblanc. If we get back to attacking the rim both with guards who can deliver interior passes and some inside touches guys who are active on the offensive glass will have more chances like in 2019 and 2020. When the offense is completely dictated by the perimeter guys like these are totally at the mercy of other players shot selection.

How good is Wheeler from Georgia?
Any chance at getting him?

Wheeler is a good player. No idea who he is considering, but he would help LSU.

Don’t think they need him personally.

Who on earth was saying the team was going to be good next year based on the originally predicted roster before all the transfers started happening?
I’m not saying they would have been bad; but I think that roster would have been a bubble team at best on paper to start the season.

Watching the SMU game really made me excited about Eason. He showed great defense, blocking shots from taller guys that were posting him up. He showed great court awareness and the ability to finish. He even hit a 3.
Jordan Mickey is a pretty apt comparison.
