Mahtook stated that he thought he would return shortly after the draft. Nothing official yet though.

Theriot said he thought coleman would return on friday, moscona still stated the dodgers were offering him 500k, but they havent come to an agreement on that

Him only being a sophomore, I could see him betting on himself and coming back.
But who knows?
ETA: The dodgers also have 9 pitchers they drafted that havent signed yet. Maybe they are just picking which ones to sign?

Actually the deadline is July 28th at midnight.

Draftees signing MLB contract has to be done by 4pm today unless out of college eligibility.
I'm not really sure what July 28th date is. I didn't think they had a deadline for transfers to pick a destination. Deadline to get in the portal was back on July 13th I think.

Ashton Larson confirmed he's coming to campus.
The only outstanding issue now is Javen Coleman. Just waiting for him to announce in either direction.

Even though we didn’t have nearly as many draft risks this year, still can’t believe we did this well again with getting most of these guys to campus.

It will be important because I don't think next year is going to go nearly as well for us.
Not just because our class is top heavy. The overall thought for the next draft class is that there is no real 1/1 type guy. There were 5 in this draft and soaked up a lot of bonus pool. When there is no consensus 1/1 or group of worthy candidates, deals are made and money keeps getting pushed down the board. That means more HS kids go pro, in general.
Hopefully, the college class for next draft really takes a step forward over the next 11 months.

We probably won't have an answer to that until Johnson introduces the class.
