If everyone signs that hasn't announced they're coming back that puts us at 45/40 right?
I'm sure some guys will transfer out on their own, but if we add more transfers then some will have to get processed. I wonder who those will be.

Looks like it. Take out a couple potential medical redshirts and Tanner Reaves staying at JUCO and we're down to 42. Add in Holman and we're up to 43.
And Jay likes to redshirt guys when it makes sense.
But this thread isn't for speculating on who may be pushed out.

For most players yes. Grad transfers can still enter and I think guys that are on teams with head coaching changes that happened have 30 days from the change if that extends beyond the deadline.

When would they have to declare a player is redshirting?

If they're redshirting off the roster, that gets declared when they set the roster on the day of the first game.
Otherwise, if they're on the 40 man, they can still redshirt by not participating in a game that season.
