I mean SEC is tough but why should we expect this? We have seasoned hitters who have already proven they can run through the SEC gauntlet.

Yep injuries would be the biggest factor. Good news we stacked so it would take a pretty bad rash of them.

Holy shite.....
Did you just " come at me bro" the injury bug and baseball gods?

Our bats going cold at the same time our pitchers would struggle to find the zone.

If that happens two days in a row at a super regional, season over.

I believe our biggest weakness is our Bull Pen. Having to rely on 3 guys again like last year is going to be very difficult in the long run. Last year Gervase, Cooper and Rez ate up all the innings and rightfully so but it was our week point for sure. This year SO FAR we have Little & N.Ackernhausen. Give or take our starting pitchers have been so dominate that its hard for our bullpen guys to eat innings but nobody out that pen has proven much or has seen SEC hitting. But all of this could change. Just my food for thought

still feel like they came out of pre-conference too reliant on the HR. Though the emergence of Paxton Kling really solidifies this lineup as an everyday RH'er.

I guess im worried is can they throttle down and play small ball when needed. Tennessee series will be a great barometer.

I can tell you right now, which team plays small ball better won't decide who wins that series.

Im talking situationally. This won’t be the team’s identity. But it will be something they will have to be able to do at times.

ill play, lack of execution on moving runners over, bunting/sacrificing etc.

Past years we were not good at all with that. This year, with so many good power hitters, it will be interesting to see how that part of the game develops early in the SEC part of the schedule.

As good as we are, we will have games that will come down to this.

Slow, crafty lefty.

Always kills LSU.

This goes for almost any team. Every year 4 seeds throw a soft throwing lefty against a bunch of 1 seeds and there is always some success. The crafty lefty issue isn't just an LSU thing.

Looks like we have a very talented and well rounded team this year. What’s the one thing that could wreck our chances of making it to Omaha? I’ll start-

Facing two soft throwing lefties in a super regional. Bats cold, defense still solid but gives up just enough runs and we lose

That is the most retarded take I have seen on here. I was at the Friday night game where the Butler pitcher never broke 85mph and for 9 batters he did great. PERIOD. If you had any sense at least you could've said running into 2 or 3 99mph flamethrowers bc that can absolutely frick up a run. But this is real life and there is a reason you don't see many people becoming knuckle ballers on purpose.
