Looks like we have a very talented and well rounded team this year. What’s the one thing that could wreck our chances of making it to Omaha? I’ll start-

Facing two soft throwing lefties in a super regional. Bats cold, defense still solid but gives up just enough runs and we lose

Yep injuries would be the biggest factor. Good news we stacked so it would take a pretty bad rash of them.

Let’s think outside the box here. Obviously injuries to our best players would wreck our chances, even with all the depth

These cupcakes aren’t exactly throwing Nolan Ryan on the mound.

We are stacked no doubt, but don’t expect us to have some growing pains early on in SEC play.

I was at the Iowa game and we looked awful. Hopefully it’s all been fixed.

Yep..I was actually thinking that deep into the season injuries to all teams could benefit us because of our depth, relative to many others...at least with position players.

Those teams still ran multiple guys throwing over 92 out a lot. The lefty from CCSU is the exception. The Friday starter from samford could pitch on an sec roster. He had some damn good stuff imo. This isn’t like the ole days, even the cupcakes have guys that throw with velo now.

Slow, crafty lefty.

Always kills LSU.

I'll take LSU facing 2 soft throwing lefties over a team that has 2 soft throwing lefties facing Skenes, Floyd and Hurd.

That only happens if a 4-seed makes the supers.

Like Ell said, it's injuries, just like it is most years.
