Damn. Either he’s completely happy at DBU and the ceiling there or College Station is a shite show. Both are plausible.

DBU is his program that he built from absolutely nothing. He wants to get them to Omaha, plus he is a deeply spiritual man who leads out front with his faith. Probably can’t do it that way at a public university.

Much respect to him for that.

Losing Grahovic for the year doesn’t help.

I wouldnt write them off yet. They still have plenty of time to turn the hitting around. Their pitching is elite. Their biggest problem is it’s this year or bust. The cupboard wont be near as full next year and theyll still have Earley
don’t completely blame them. Their entire team entered the portal. By keeping Earley, they anll stayed. Early will be easy to dump if he doesn’t work out. They can try to make a run with their loaded roster and, if they bust, they can hire a better coach.

Heard the religion angle at DBU is a big deal for him. If he wanted a big job, he could have had one by now.

I agree with your point, but I wouldn’t call their pitching elite. Their starters are good but the bullpen is meh

There is something to be said for staying where you are happy. I’m sure he is in good shape financially.

Ask LSU fans about Mike Archer!

And we could've had Spurrier, but DAD said no. (DAD = Dumb arse Dean)

Same. This is a good story looking back on how that went down:
quote:

the Board settled on Archer after a three and half hour meeting in which nearly 30 Tiger players testified on his behalf. Arnsparger’s support helped, but this was a decision endorsed by the team, coming off an SEC championship.

You mean to tell me that when you let the players run the program it doesn’t work out well?

A&M is too talented to stay down long

They will be there in the end, but it is hilarious how they coped with Scloss dumping them

They all said they were better off and got the coach they really wanted

I would wait to see how we(LSU) do in conference play before I laugh at A&M.
