Just in case anyone is like me and wonders who he is or what sport this in reference to:

The Tigers added another piece to the 2023-24 puzzle as George Washington forward Hunter Dean intends to transfer to LSU. Listed at 6-feet-10, 235 pounds, Dean heads to LSU with a year of eligibility after he signed with GW in the 2019 class out of Lakeshore High School in Mandeville. He is coming off his best season, averaging 9.0 points and 6.2 rebounds in 26 games – 23 starts. Dean joins a transfer class that is up to five members and was ranked No. 8 prior to his pledge. Those five join five current projected returners Trae Hannibal, Mwani Wilkinson, Jalen Reed, Tyrell Ward and Derek Fountain, leaving three open spots.

Does coach MM know the kids don’t have to be from La? Or is that the easiest way to fill the roster at this point. Hoping a kid wants to come back home.
There’s got to be better talent than what we are getting.

I did hear that back in high school he was also a D1 baseball recruit as a pitcher. Wonder if he can throw strikes.

Another slew footed tall kid with no athleticism, typically recruited to Murray St, I think McBland is still suffering from jet lag. We Will Not get any better like this, MBB at LSU is an afterthought with a Boy Scout Coach. Cash in on the UNDER in everything in LSU MBB betting except Turnovers.

Hunter dean excelling in the sec would be the story of the conference. I’m glad he’s trying to rebuild LSU but holy frick that stat line is depressing.

Oof’s all around. McMahon is a mad genius if he takes this roster dancing

I hope this transfer class is better than the one MM took on last year. Seems like they're just trying to find anyone from Louisiana to fill the roster. The only guy from a P5 roster is Jordan Wright so far, which I was happy about. But other than that just getting guys from lower conferences like last year.

I really hope it works out and we see some improvement next year. I'll always support LSU in whatever sport it is, but I'm not optimistic right now that we're catching up to the rest of the conference with these moves. Hope I'm wrong. And obviously there's still time to get some more additions.

It seems like LSU always has trouble with "Big White Dudes" from other teams.

BTW, my sisters best friend at Mandeville High was a Dean. I wonder if this Dean is related to any of the Deans we knew.....

I'm truly hoping MM can turn things around, but his recruiting and transfer portal "prowess" is extremely underwhelming. I'm getting some serious Trent Johnson vibes as far as recruiting goes.

Seems to be his only recruiting pitch at this point. Come back home and play for LSU, and don't get me wrong, if I'm from LA, its a big sell.

BUT he better go find that one Alpha dog.....
