Starting the season off with a win @ #4 will be great for our resume

10 of top 25...SEC

Crazy how the media has OU hyped up way more than the Coaches, who didn't even have them ranked.

While I think both Miami and ND are a bit overrated, the AP poll now cements Week 1 will have 3 matchups of top 10 teams. I think I read somewhere that is the first time since the 1940's

Trying to win on the road at #4 week one is a hell of a task for anyone. Hopefully we’re a tough out ourselves

Can someone explain to me why so many people on this board have a problem with Bama being ranked 8th?

kind of

What you really have is two similar teams (LSU / Clemson) who are viewed more highlly than the teams ranked between them. The expected outcome of that game is pretty much priced in to this.

It's why rankings aren't what people assume. It's a prediction of outcome. It's a function of itself in many ways.

For starters, a new QB. Also playing an SEC schedule. They want DeBoer to be Saban 2.0 so badly. It gets annoying.

So what about Georgia and Texas? Do you have a problem with their rankings?

No because they have coaches that have a track record of SEC success and both made the playoff last year.

Bama lost to both Vandy and OU last year and that would’ve never happened under Saban.

I mean Texas has been in the SEC for one year. DeBoer has also made the playoff and a national championship game (beating Texas in the semi final game).

Kirby lost to Vandy and Georgia Tech his first year at Georgia.

Where do you think Bama should be ranked?

Look they could prove me wrong. I just think it’s a little backwards that they’re ahead of us when they have a top 5 QB coming back and they have someone new at the position.

They had 1179 points, LSU had 1174 points. It's really just not that big of a deal.

Yeah but legally they aren’t allowed to put LSU above bama.

Rece Davis has LSU #4, Bama #7
(& Clemson #1)

Bama is in the top ten on name only.

I mean, it's not like they're breaking in a new QB or anything.

Oh wait.
