but Miles wasn’t winning 10 games a year anymore.
Except that he did the year before they fired him. I count the McNeese game as a victory. Not sure why people have such terrible memory....
The talent left was not championship talent, but it was enough to be competitive.
You don't think we had the team last year to win a championship? Beat Troy and Miss St and you would have played for the SEC championship with the chance to get in the playoffs at 11-1. We had the ta...
It was due to Orgeron cutting the wasted fat of Les Miles desperate reaches of recruits who had no business playing for LSU. Les Miles was being out recruited at every turn for the big uglies, and qbs. His grade school offense mentality had caught up with him, and LSU. Orgeron, and Ensminger ...
Do your home work.
Although Les had his fair share of transfers, CEO had many when he was hired that depleted his depth on the O-Line. And as I said, the DL and OL, most were recruited by Les. Fehoko (hasn't played yet for us) and Chaisson were committed after Les was fired. Most o...
LEs got fired for not being a Len to adapt to his surroundings. Wasn’t big on developing players or have personnel depth. He was very loyal to his starters and coaching philosophy. But the manner in which he was losing became unbearable. It’s like for 6 straight years Nick Sagan told Les tha...
Our depth on the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball were depleted after Miles left. That's a fact. Orgeron recruited his assistant off at those positions and we now have quality depth there.
We had depth but many transferred. That wasn't on Les. CEO wasn't able to convin...

"Good God, I didn't realize we did not have a dedicated QB coach??" You do realize that 6 of the top 7 teams have QB coaches and the last four years of NCAA champions do also. I haven't looked beyond four years or top 7 teams. Seems like we should have one considering it was our most glaring weak...

I don't quite understand why we don't have an individual coach at one of our most lacking performance positions: QB. It has been a thorn in our side for many years. I believe the OC should be free to roam while an individual focuses on the QBs only....

CEO and the talent debate - 4EverATiger12345
Prior to Les' firing many LSU fans complained that Les was wasting all the talent that he had recruited. According to the Rant, there should be no way a LSU coach should lose to an inferior team with way less talent. So when CEO lost to the likes of Troy, CEO was not held to the same standard as Les...
LSU #3 in recruiting quote: Miles also had a ton of defenders. I supported Miles his entire time at LSU. Well, actually after the way he handled business after the 2005 hurricanes. And he won a lot of games as the head coach. There could have, and probably should have been more victo...
