They are two entirely different skills.

Natural hitters exist natural bunters do not.

Asking someone with little experience to bunt is like asking a middle linebacker to hit a back foot slider

And the game thread is de-populated. That’s sad.

I'm not taking credit. Dugas is the one doing the work. I happened to believe in his ability, and got the typical "you don't know crap" treatment.

I had hopes for Dugas, but the injury had me giving up on him this year. I didn’t think he’d have time to adjust to SEC pitching this late, and it’s early, however, he’s proving me wrong so far.

And we need a shot in the arm from a RHed bat.

So you just cant give him credit for correcting one of his deficiencies?

I never even said he had a deficiency. Just thought it was a funny statement because anyone who has watched a baseball game in the last 10 years knew it was time to pull walker. What happened to people being able to laugh at themselves? I do all the time

Everyone loves to say "don't take it personal" until someone calls them an idiot, and then they do exactly what I'm doing. If someone disagrees, fine. But when you call me a moron, idiot, etc, I'm going to remember it.

Err no it’s not.

You are making a relatively easy skill into brain surgery.

And we aren’t trying to bunt against Chris Sale or Brandon Kershaw. The Bama pitchers are average guys,

Quit making excuses for our guys. It’s easier to bunt than get a base hit.

It is definitely early, you're right. Truthfully, he'll have some valley's, I'm sure. But he seems to have excellent eye hand coordination, like Duplantis had from day one, but with more extra base power. So, I think he's the type than can survive the lumps, and by postseason time, he'll hopefully be in full gear. So far, he's shown little rust, which is a great sign.
