We’re acting like an elite NBA team in the regular season.

I’m not happy about that either

I was thinking earlier in the game that our guys don't look like they're interested or even really having fun out there. I think your NBA comparison is dead on.

When your average is South of 200 and you are an east DP candidate you sac bunt.

It's not that they "hated" on him, it's that they were hating on my confidence that he would provide an immediate difference in our lineup. The ole "you can't possibly know that, when he has barely played".

To be fair there was no way you could have known unless you went to a ton of scrimmages.

You were guessing and you guessed right. Congratulations and quit taking things so personal

Okay, and thats not a terrible take about a freshmen. They were just likely bring cautious. I mean, you realize half this board designated garza as the next matt clark before we saw him play a game here.

He did early in the season. I don't have any detail more than that though.

Generally if you have a bad batting average then you’re not going to be a very good bunter because you’re not seeing the ball well.

At that point you’re just putting a below par hitter in a hole and expecting him to deliver

Yes and he hasn’t improved.

I blame the player and the coach for such poor fundamentals.

Plus you're attempting to put the runner in scoring position to get the 5 run lead in order to avoid the one swing tie.

Bunting isn’t as easy as a lot of people make it out to be.

Which is why like bunting with better hitters. They have a good eye and can identify good pitches to bunt while also being able to handle the bat and guide the ball well.

If you’re going to bunt with a position player then they should be a fairly good hitter at least

I think Manieri just put on a hit and run with 2 outs and out hottest hitter at the plate...

ETA: judging by Beloso's reaction to the signs and the runner moving

I dont always find that to be true. Brandt isnt a great hitter, but is a good bunter
