I get Dugas is a senior and a grinder.

But he’s been awful lately, on offense and defense. He needs to sit. But he won’t, Jay Miles is too hard headed.

3/20 3/20 3/20. This has got to stop or we’re approaching the end of the road.

We need passed balls to score runners on third in clutch situations these days. As bad as the bullpen has been overall, there have been too many games where they have done what should be enough to win given the talent in the lineup, and the offense just refuses to get it done. When the offense does light up the scoreboard, the pen goes into ultra melt mode. Very disappointing.

This team may not have the mental toughness to win a regional. Skenes appears to be slumping a bit on the mound, other pitchers are a bit suspect, and no clutch hitting whatsoever. Definitely not the time of the season to be slumping!

They can turn it around next weekend. I still saw positives with the pitching this tournament. I hope we can win games where we only give up 5.

3/20 with runners in scoring position. 3 out of fricking 20. A minimum of 8 came with runners on 3rd.

Runners on 1st and 2nd no outs in 2nd, score 1 on Jobert hit. (Dugas lineout double play with BS call at 2nd base, then Kling groundout later)
Runners on 1st and 2nd no outs in 3rd, score nothing. (Travinski infield pop up, Beloso K, Jones K)
2 straight doubles score 1, then Runner on 3rd no outs and get nothing else in 4th. (Thompson K, Kling K, Crews IF popup)
Runners on 1st and 3rd nobody scores in 5th. (Jones K, Dugas bunt out, Jobert ground out)
Runner on 2nd 2 outs in 6th, nothing. (Morgan ground out)
Runner on 2nd 1 out in 7th, nothing. (Jones line out, Dugas IF pop up)
Runner on 2nd 2 outs in 8th, nothing. (Crews K)
Runner on 3rd with 1 out after already scoring 1 on a passed ball and can't push in the tying run in the 9th. (Dugas K, Jobert foul out)

To hell with the bullpen. We know what they are. If the lineup is gonna be hot garbage like this (like they have been pretty often lately), we don't have a chance in hell. We had guys in scoring position literally every inning except the 1st. Had a runner on 3rd less than 2 outs 3 times and never scored them. Pitiful.

I don’t know how talent is generally rated. I rate it specifically by clutch hitting.

Let’s give some credit here and see if it’s a #1 and #2 finish.

We ended the season losing 2/3 series and just went 1/2 in SEC Tournament. Im the biggest Tiger fan there is but I also live in reality . This team is shite right now.

We get our chances and can't take advantage of them. So many guys on base and our bats have holes in them. Too many late rushes by the opposing team. We might just not wish to think too heavenly about Omaha. I hate to think that after all this we might just fade away.

We might fade away or get timely hits in the post season. What it comes down to every team, every season
