Yeah some of our fans tend to always try and turn a shite sandwich into a ham sandwich. Reality is we have faded down the stretch. Either we are just tired or injured. We have the talent no doubt but I just don’t think these guys have that mental edge needed for a championship run

The truth is, this team will be a Top 8 National seed and is set up to host a Regional and Super Regional. And some fans are ready to pack it up and wave the white flag because we lost 2 games in the SECCT by 1 run each when we weren't selling out to win.

You must be in my hotel in Hoover. This same conversation was being held among a lobby full of pissed off baseball “elite crowd”. They mad. Heard something about storming the admin building and boycotting the Box until Skip returns…ok…made up the last sentence but they are pissed.

Btw, I'm not this "posi-Tiger" that sees no flaws, etc. I just don't think this week really has any bearing on next week and further outside of seeing Hurd solidifying his spot, Good Floyd, Ack, Cooper, Guidry etc. It was good to see 23 hits off of 18 innings of lefties the last 2 days, even if they didn't produce the most runs.
We all want to win. I don't have the overall weight that thinks we can't.

I get what you’re saying but we’re pitching our best and hitting as good as we have just not with as much power or as timely as needed

I’m not trying to pump sunshine it’s just the truth. I’ve never left three games before being so sure of who I want out there and who I don’t. We learned that Kling and jones are lost at the plate and Kling is capable of playing as a defensive replacement and he did get a hit but jones is lost .
We know we can’t play Sam Dutton because he hangs curveballs . We know that maybe we should stick with coop even if he walks the first batter or gives up a grounder. We know that hurds our number 3 and that Coleman may have to come out of the pen if we’re just needing 3 starters . We know that we can’t put any of our lefty’s at the top of the order against lefty’s besides maybe beloso and jobert. We know that travinski has to get 5 abs a game or as many as everyone else .
We learned we can’t put in little when a walk would hurt us badly
We know that Guidry is our closer , period.

We learned that if it’s a 3 run or less lead, don’t wait till they score on us to go to our bigger guns . Go with them from the beginning. That’s just based on this tournament being so many games though

I mean we didn’t even try. Could have easily tied it in T9. Obviously Johnson would rather go home and get ready for the regional - let’s see if it works.

johnson did not care about these games - they are tune ups for the regional. pitch count on floyd and skenes, no tommy tanks, and experimenting with kling and jones, etc.

If we lose a regional with Skenes, Crews, White it’s time to make a proactive change because no coach will ever have that kind of talent again.

Ready to move on but it’s bothersome losing the last two games by one run while doubling number of hits against Arkansas and A&M and leaving so many on base.
