It's funny how some people get so worked up over spring game attendance like it actually means anything. We're not even talking about a game, an actual game, when it matters...

Just like a real game, the stands were 3/4 empty by the end of the 3rd quarter.

We talking bout practice, MAN!!!

That being said, LSU could do other things like combo it with a baseball game and/or have the game at night that would entice more fans. Doesn't seem like LSU is that concerned with the low attendance either.

What needs to be done? Nothing. fricking nothing. It's the Spring Game. A lot of people in Louisiana have more important things to do than watch a practice. Plus it being on TV doesn't help either.

LSU pulls fans from all over the state on actual game days/nights. Many people would be surprised at the amount of people that travel in from the Lake Charles, Alex, Monroe areas even for game day. Most of the time it's just not feasible for these people to make that commute for the Spring game. People in these areas plan vacations, time off around the fall games. I always wonder what the percentage of fans in Tiger Stadium are from different areas of the state.

I want you to think what LSU has done with pricing, parking, permits etc. Baton Rouge traffic is a cluster when crowds are huge.

IMO, it disenfranchised the casual fan over time.

Couple all if that with the 1950s mindset that you can't show much in public or the opponents find out, and you basically have a boring scrimmage where he protects the stud skilled players.

And guess what, there are more tailgate regulations coming.

LSU, through its success, has created a "person with the most money gets their way" atmosphere and over time that's damaging. And when we are just "ok".....well, the money isn't coming watch a scrimmage, which les has made it.

Haven't you heard? BR is the only town with a major college football team that has other options on an early April day. People in Columbus OH don't have kids in baseball, birthday parties, spring football etc. People in Tuscaloosa AL don't like to fish or turkey hunt. There are no entertainment alternatives in Athens, GA just outside Atlanta. We are the fortunate ones, although apparently I am not one as I was in attendance after a 3 hr drive down.

That is a thought. Make it like a high school jamboree and scrimmage against a couple other teams.

Well I know that I was watching the baseball game because it's baseball season and well... I freaking love baseball! I did look at the score and stats from time to time but it's a glorified practice.

Nothing needs to be done. It's free and easier to watch on TV. If it wasn't on TV it would be more attended

Tiger fans have lives. Save it up for the real thing in the fall. Promoting spring games is just for appearances and are gimmicks. Bammers have nothing better to do in that dump of a state and are constantly drinking the propaganda Kook Aid. UGA promoted theirs to follow Kirby's mantra he carried over from T-Town and to emphasize the start of a so called new era. UTk wanted to showcase their Offense and create a carnival atmosphere. LSU doesn't need to do that. We are comfortable in our own skin.

It's always been low attendance even when it wasn't on TV. Like I said, if LSU was really concerned about attendance they would tie it to a baseball game or make it at 5pm or later.

Their first mistake was not matching it up with a home baseball series to give those who live out of town more reason to drive in. My guess would be that this had to do more with LSU intentionally matching it up against other Spring games to keep certain recruits from attending them.

No mistakes.
Just that the excitement left the building.
Fans get excuses, spin, broken promises, ridiculous high prices on tickets, concessions, fan gear, etc.
Limited parking, tailgating availability.
Terrible traffic management.
At best, 10 win seasons with guaranteed embarrassment in at least one of the losses.
No hardware since 2011.
Lectured on how to be LSU fans by that Duke AD.
Is it a wonder there isn't a lot of excitement for a Spring "game"?
